Who's doing Camp NaNo this year?
What's Your Word Count Goal for this month?
What novel are you writing right now?
What challenges do you need to overcome to finish this novel?

Let's set some goals and stay connected to help each other achieve them!

Leann (likelyleann) | 3 comments I'm participating in Camp NaNo this year (hoping for 50,000 words, but we'll see how that goes)!

I'm starting over on an old YA fantasy. It's going to be fun to revisit it!

As for challenges, I think I need to somehow keep myself from getting distracted by Shiny New Ideas. I tend to accidentally brainstorm a lot of potential novel ideas, so sometimes my current WIP gets pushed aside in favor of whatever is on my mind.

I have that problem too, Elizabeth! It's so easy to press DELETE. I keep having to remind myself that it's better to have something to edit later on than barely any words in my WIP!

Good luck with your goal!

What novel are you writing right now? The working title for my story is Our Brand of Normal.

What challenges do you need to overcome to finish this novel? I have a few things I have to do to get to the finish line. One, is to stop second guessing myself. I do this constantly and feel like I need to get it right the first time which of course doesn't exactly happen. Two, the delete key is not my friend! And three, I need to just stick with my story and see it through until the end.

Words of wisdom from Terry Pratchett: The first draft is just you telling yourself the story.

Best of luck!
