The Hunt (read 3/28/2015)- 4 stars. The Hunt had lots of suspense, admirable lead characters, and kept me scared and nervous.

7/2 *** It was quick humorous read. I liked it but didn't love it. I am not a fan of excessive use of swear words/foul language and that was what I didn't like about this story.

8/25 **** Really enjoyed this read. Plan on reading the rest series. Characters likeable and thought the it was well written.

3 stars. I just finished my last month's PIFM book . That turned into a bit of a chore. I didn't want to quit because I'm determined to read more classics, but I'm just not a fan of the classics. I had the same problem with Pride and Prejudice. But, I do love the movies! ;)
I finished and then binge read books 4 & 5 right after. I think I rated it 4 stars. For me it was an alien Twilight. Instead of sparkly vampires, we had brightlight aliens. ;) I got a bit annoyed at Dameon's constant need for sex at the oddest times. Overall I did enjoy the series though.

I LOVED this fantasy about trolls and witches! Very unique story, and I don't think I've quite fallen in love with "the bad guy" quite so quickly LOL!

4 stars. I really loved this book! It was basically the exact opposite of Romeo and Juliet. I loved the southern feel, and the whole hurricane sequence, which was about a third of the book had me hooked!

3 stars. This one was pretty meh for me. And I could poke lots of holes in it. It was a struggle to actually finish it, took some will power! I don't think I'll continue with the series.

The Moon Dwellers (read Jul 10,2015)- 3.5* Good world building,loved MC- Adele and Tristan. Undecided about the romance aspect and the dual POV. Bit slow in some parts but overall good read. Looking forward to the sequel.


Adventures in Funeral Crashing read Jul 18 4* Read in one day. A good light fluffy read. Loved Katie who is a typical teenager who ends up crashing her crush's half sister funeral and solves a mystery. Would actualy read the rest of the series.

read Aug 3, 2015 4* I am still unsure how I feel about the MC Naomi. She has a fall on the stairs and loses memory of the last four years. What follows is how she resumes life as a senior while trying to discover who she is. It was well written, full of emotional angst for a teenager. As torn as I feel about Naomi and her past and some of current actions, she definitely grows up by the end of the novel and I felt I could read more about her story. Would definitely recommend it. And I loved the interview in my edition which helped in understanding the story better.

Perdita had one wish. To be a normal teenage girl, with normal teenage girl issues. When she finally gets the stones to stand up to her father and grandmother, she thinks she will get her wish. But then a new family moves to her small town, and her entire world is shifted off its axis. Not only does she find out that NORMAL is a word that will never apply to her life, she learns that some legends of the supernatural are based in fact.
This book is amazing. The story is well thought out. The characters are fully developed. I enjoyed reading this book.

I just now saw your post! I miss too much on here! I read Magyck years ago, I'm pretty sure I liked it. We shall see :) I'm glad you liked them both. I hope I do too :)

I just finished Alice in Zombieland. I was really surprised over how much i really liked it! I was not expecting the humor I found in it and it will be on my list of favorite books. I gave it 5 stars and Jen is awesome for recommending I read it! There's no telling how long it would have set on my to read pile otherwise :)

I really did love it!!! And I just finished Beautiful Oblivion. I have to say Jamie McGuire is amazing. I never saw the ending coming! 5 stars and I can't wait to get the rest of the series.

heard mixed reviews but cant wait to get to it. planning to start it soon.

I really didn't like Oz through most of it and I don't care to read more of the series.

I just finished and I loved it! It was a heartbreaking ending but still so good - I'm looking forward to the sequel. The narration by Jennifer Ikeda was amazing. I had no idea she could do accents like that. I've heard her narrate a lot of stuff before - but wow! I was really impressed.

Also working on but I was trying to listen on a plane and I was exhausted and Katherine Kellgren's voice, while excellent at narration, was so lively that it was irritating as all get out. I put it aside until I'm traveling again in the car. Again. Tomorrow. Because my life is out of control and I can't seem to stay home for any length of time. After this next trip that's it! I'm staying put for at least two weeks!
(unless of course a beach, Karen or Jenny are involved).

Started last night and so far it's wonderful!

I listened to The Ring and the Crown on audio too...and I didn't love it as much as you did. It was just okay for me...I guess I was having trouble grasping the whole point of it...way too much drama! But I agree that the narration was wonderful...that's actually why I finished it! If I had been reading it, it prolly would have been a DNF.

Wow, everyone's really getting busy on their PIFM books!!

I haven't started yet, BUT I'm heading to the beach in a week and a half for 11 glorious days of nothing but sitting under a thatch umbrella with a comfy lounge chair and TWO ereaders full of books!! (@Jen - ;-D Weeeee!!) Oh and maybe diving and at least lots of snorkeling.

11 glorious days indeed! I'm so jealous! Not that I need to do MORE traveling, but hey, a beach (especially with you!) would certainly convince me.

You know, at first I thought the same - what in the heck is going on with all these POV's? But when I really got into the story it made more sense. I think it was the ending that sold me. So heartbreaking and yet so hopeful. It was the kind of bittersweet I can deal with - not a nice little neat wrap-up, and that plot twist completely surprised me. I definitely want to read the sequel.
