Emily The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman

I read this book yesterday. Although I bought it when it came out, so while I did read it in one day, it actually took me about 2 years to read. I'm not sure why...

I thought it was brilliant. I'm a big Neil Gaiman fan anyway, but for one reason or another I had been pushing this book to the back burner for the 2 years that it's been sitting on my shelf. Once I finally decided to pick it up, I devoured it. It's a short book - only 181 pages - but it packs a punch in that short amount of time. While there was a bit left unexplained at the end, I think it works better that those pieces aren't explained and are left up to the reader to wonder about.

If you like a good fantasy story, this is a really good one. I recommend it.

Sophie (sawphie) I only read two of Gaiman's books, but I really like his style, so I'll definitely add this one to my TBR, thanks!
