2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

Wow. What a book. I didn't want to read it but it was staring at me. I picked it up and was almost immediately enveloped in the characters. I could not put it down...even as the evening kicked in and the hour was late!

But mostly I liked the indignant way they spoke of each other and pain and death. Like Isaac saying that he wanted to feel her face to look deeper in her soul than a sighted person, or the literal heart of Jesus, or the swingset. Yeah, it was kind of real.

I loved this book, I was reading it tears streaming down on the bus. The movie just didn't do it for me.

I hated the movie the first thing I screamed while watching the movie was "Augustus waters has blue eyes!!!!! And he is supposed ti be very very handsome!!!!" The movie didn't bring out that depth of feelings for me...

Thanks for the movie reviews. Now I won't bother. (plus seeing them as siblings in Divergent...then as lovers???)
