I've read The Magicians' Guild (The Black Magician Trilogy, #1) by Trudi Canavan The Novice (The Black Magician Trilogy, #2) by Trudi Canavan The High Lord (The Black Magician Trilogy, #3) by Trudi Canavan after picking up a copy of the first one in a little bookshop in Edinburgh's Grassmarket many moons ago. It did take me a year to remember it and read it then I had to get the other 2 as quickly as possible.

I found 2 hardback copies of Priestess of the White (Age of the Five, #1) by Trudi Canavan series in a charity shop and then found the remaining book but I still haven't got around to dedicating the time to starting another series (I did read A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness though).

What do you think of her books? If you've read more than one of her trilogies which was your favourite? The Black Magician trilogy was a page turner for me.

The Magician's Apprentice (The Black Magician Trilogy, #0.5) by Trudi Canavan - eek, I've just found this. I love a good prequel;) I love that I can start it within seconds on my kindle (just got the sample).

Vicky | 30 comments I've read The Black Magician Trilogy and couldn't put it down.

My boyfriend has all of the Age of the Five and the new ones, which I can't remember the name of but it starts with the Ambassadors Mission. They are all in my To Read pile at the moment.

I haven't but I've just looked and The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1) by Patrick Rothfuss has a rating of 4.55 - wow that't high goodreads. What can you tell me about them? Good?

I have read Magician Apprentice (The Riftwar Saga, #1) by Raymond E. Feist and I think I got 3/4 through the next one but it wasn't as good as I expected and when I read The Black Magician Trilogy I was relieved to find it just got on with her progress.

Vicky | 30 comments Yes the name of the wind was really book as was book 2. For me it was a bit harry potter meets adult fantasy and has a bit of everything in it and I feel is written in such a way that it creates strong imagery and you really get into it. Name of the Wind in particular is now one of my all time favs!
