In Chinese mythology, the White Tiger is the mythological guardian of the west. Read a book set in the Western Hemisphere. If the book is set in multiple locations, at least half of the action must take place in the Western Hemisphere in order for the book to count. For the purposes of this task, we will consider any country on this list of countries to be in the western hemisphere.
Required: If not obvious from the GRs description, explain how your book choice fits the task when you post.

We're going to consider any of the countries listed on that list as being in the western hemisphere (even if, technically, they're in both hemispheres). So as long as the country appears on the list, it'll work. I've tweaked the wording of the task a little to try to make that a bit more clear.

Bea I have been trying to plan with books I own this time. I have lots of books set in the USA. For now, I am putting Lord Of The Dance by Andrew M. Greeley in this task. It is about a Chicago family.

However, I have another I might use instaed: Answer as a Man by Taylor Caldwell. It is set in Pennsylvania.

It looks like it's set in California so, yes, it works.

Kristi, I'm reading a kindle version, it has a paperback version (which I know is ok). I had read 43% already before challenge had begun, is that ok to claim for it?

No, sorry. The paperback version is only 148 pages long. The rules state that only books with 500+ pages may be started before the first day of the challenge and read no more than half-way. So I'm afraid that book can't be claimed during the Spring Challenge.

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) Right, so I need to read another book (but can it still be in the USA)?

The book appears to be set in Los Angeles, California. So, yes, it works.

Bea Would you accept Little Bee since most of the action is in the UK?

Yes, that works. The setting on the book's home page lists UK as the setting, but you still might want to point it out when you claim the book since the description mentions Nigeria.
