The "shelved once" isn't an issue - this is just to give you some ideas - it's not a conclusive list, and just because a book is on the list doesn't mean it works. I have read Ready Player One - it's a terrific book, lots of fun, but I don't think it fits the task, even if someone put it on the list.
These listopia lists get weird sometimes - I think that some people, when they really like a book, put it on every list they can find...........

I think you'll have better luck checking out the Arthurian shelf:
http://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/a...
And even then, you'll have to make sure that it has it as a genre on its main page.
As D.G. points out, the first stop needs to be the book's main page, to see if the required genre is listed. If not, it doesn't work.

yes, it has Mythology>Arthurian listed as a genre on its main page.

Even if you don't have a kindle, Amazon has a free app that you can download and read the ebooks on your PC.

Thanking you

I've tried that too and just get a blank page. I'll keep trying.

I really enjoyed The Once and Future King. It's one of my favorite books. I think I am planning on reading Taliesin. Another one I've heard good things about is Guenevere, Queen of the Summer Country.

another one that's long, but I really liked, was The Mists of Avalon. Another I enjoyed was Gwenhwyfar: The White Spirit. And I second Jayme VA's recommendation of The Once and Future King - I've read it more than once!

Queen of Camelot is really good, it is the story through Guinivere's (sp?) view.

Ms Anderson wrote: "Does it matter if the book is fiction? For example, could I read one of the books that places King Arthur in the historical context, as long as Mythology->Arthurian appears on the main page?"
Non fiction is fine, as long as the genre appears on the main page.
