Rebecca Brae (rebecca_brae) | 2 comments I am so hoping someone can help me find this. I read a sf book (possibly a Canadian or American author) from a library (~20-25 years ago) that was fantastic. It was about a society of humans who were all conjoined twins. The main character had only one head and was having trouble fitting in. I remember the book being excellent and I would love to re-read it, but I can't find any information about it using google as I don't have a title or author. Thanks for your help!

David (wheldrake) | 2 comments The Moonfall

Could it be The Moonfall by Heather Spears? Sounds like the right plot...

Rebecca Brae (rebecca_brae) | 2 comments That is it David! You rock! Thank you so much. Over the years I've tried to recall the author/title and just couldn't. I remember it being full of interesting ideas and I was blown away with how well it was written. Here's hoping it holds up against the test of time :)

Spike Anderson (spikeanderson) | 3 comments Ok, here is one that I read about15 yrs ago and have been trying to find since; a space life form that gradually changes the earth strikes Kenya and the book centers around a red head Irish news reporter and her romantic interest scientist who go into the contaminated areas to report - with the conclusion that this new earth may be better than the old, even if nothing, including the 'humans' living there, are remotely the same again. Help

Back in 92 I read a book about a society where everyone had information loaded into computer packs that they wore on their backs as they got older. Those who "failed" the upload became the servants. Something happened to the main character and he lost the computer pack and ended up in the wilderness. Discovers that the society was designed as an ark to repopulate earth(?) but no one had ventured outside.. Any ideas?

Beth,

I believe that you are looking for Devil on my Back by Monica Hughes. Good luck.
