Rachel Marks | 2 comments These books are a perfect example to me of world-building and character development all coming together to create the perfect escape for the reader. You really fall in love with Fitz, root for him, feel annoyed by him, weep with him. Hobb never makes life easy for him--in fact she revels in tormenting him--but you follow his struggles like he's your best friend. For amazing character-driven books, these are the bomb! And the journey doesn't end with "Assassin's Quest." We get to hang more with Fitz (and my other favorite character The Fool) in the next trilogy "Tawny Man" :)
