These are excellent questions and some actually made me question what I thought I knew (question 20). I can't wait for the third book. I already have 2 ppl hooked and working on more.

I am going to spend an evening (or two) going through these Qs. They are fantastic food for thought! Just wanted to answer this one for now:
6. How would you describe your reaction when Claire answered her phone and unexpectedly heard, the husky, deep, baritone voice saying, “Good evening, Claire.”
If I say I shot up straight (while in bed, reading) and squealed, would that make me twisted??? I was completely obsessed with him finding her. I know many dislike Tony for what he did to Claire but I just couldn't wait till he reappears in her life and tries to get her back. I just love how he got blindsided by his feelings for our girl and how possessive he is of her. LOVE IT!

Hi... I'm going to answer Q4 : my first thought was to right the wrong? maybe some kind of rebellion act against Tony, after all Tony was that powerful and not everyone could defy him and got away...Q5: Are you kidding me? I nearly wet my pants thinking it was Tony. I've experienced that heart dropping to my feet kinda thing right there. I remember how 'creepy' Tony was in Consequences :)
sorry. it was Q3 and 4... my bad. see how Tony affects me?
Question 3: to me signifies THE consequences at it's best: Tony's actions months ago set a chain of events in motion that actually ended up freeing Claire in the end so technically, Tony ended up suffering the consequences of his own actions. If that's not the irony, I don't know what is :)
15. When Claire wakes in the hospital she realizes with her entire family present and available, she wants Tony. Considering the possibility of Stockholm syndrome in Consequences, was this a new revelation? Regardless if you are “Team Tony” or “Team Harry”, what were your thoughts when the doctor tells Claire Harry already knows about the baby?Oh no!!!! Please DO NOT tell me that Harry is going to be the father of this baby?!!! Yes I felt sorry for Harry, who wouldn't he's a great guy and he deserves someone that loves him crazy, madly, passionately but what Claire and Tony have is 'the be all, end all' for both of them.
20. Many readers have found solace knowing that Claire is happy in the “Afterward”. Who are the possibilities for her “husband”? Which man do you believe is with her?
Knowing the continual twists and turns, I ignored them to be satisfied that Claire is definitely with Tony, if I thought otherwise I might not read the next book! No matter the evil in this world we, or rather I, have to believe the good and that LOVE DOES CONQUER ALL!!
Adelin, I can't agree with you more on your answer to Q20. I too can't invision anyone but Tony for Claire's HEA. I even used the same line (love conquers all) in one of my posts re: the series. (I guess great minds do think alike, ha ha ...) It's a powerful thing [love], isn't it??
Irene; It sure is and it's what we all need. If you've got love you can get through anything! Well that's what I believe and have experienced in my lifetime. Very philosophical but to me, oh so true. LOL
Well I also feel the same way as you gals do about Tony! I hated him in the beginning,started to fall in love with him in truth. I do believe in true love and want to believe
that Claire and Tony are on the island together and live happily ever after with there
Child! Dreams do come true....
Hi Gail, yes let's hope they are enjoying their baby while also gaining back their strength to take back what Tony has worked so hard for and to also take down Catherine. Then Tony could help those he wronged in this vendetta!We can only hope that's what Aleatha got planned. I seriously would rather stay oblivious to the third book if Claire is not with Tony than read it and shatter my version of the happy ending I need.
These questions made me re-read the chapters again again, scan through every line and scrutinised every single word. Although this book answered many of my questions from the first book, but yet there's more questions in my head once i finished it. I warmed up to the new tony but have not forgiven him. I mean he still admit to trapping Claire for attempted murder and he still would left Claire in prison, (if it wasn't for Brent's help Claire would still be there). So the question on this 'loophole' & why did he framed Claire at first place?? to me is still unanswered. Was he truly Catherine's victim too? I mean after all the trouble & turmoil Claire's friends & family went through because of her, I do hope book 3 will justify, reasons & explain all of Tony's actions. I need more than HAE that love conquers all i need constructive answers!

1. Based on the first book of the series, what were your preconceived thoughts of Claire and Tony? What did you anticipate would happen between them in book 2? Who did you believe Sophia Burke was? What did you anticipate her role would be in Truth?
2. Who was your first thought regarding Claire’s “angel”? Who did you believe was the sender of the check and partially completed pardon?
3. The author uses the prologue and Governor Bosley’s motive for approving Claire’s pardon as an example of what?
4. When you first learned who sent the private plane, did you know / remember Amber McCoy? Did you also feel Claire’s terror, thinking a “private plane” could have been sent by Tony?
5. Part of Tony’s strength in Consequences was his ability to isolate Claire. How important are the characters of Amber, Harry, Brent, Courtney, John and Emily to the person Claire is in Truth?

7. At what point did you realize Sophia was not a Burke, but Derek was? As their storyline progressed what did you anticipate their fate?
8. Ms. Romig gives much more insight into Nathaniel Rawls as a private man. How did his relationship with Marie help to create the woman she became? By “giving” Marie the deed to her father’s closed business and arranging for her uncle to go to jail, what did he teach her about revenge?
9. Many reviewers have commented about Claire’s “growth of a backbone”. Do you agree, she “grew” stronger in Truth? Or do you believe Claire “found her voice” in Truth, whereas in Consequences she used her strength to survive the only way she could? It is true she had some quick retorts for Tony in Truth which she never would have said in Consequences. What were your favorite Claire quotes?
10. When Tony visits Claire in Amber’s condominium and Claire begins the conversation by saying, “I know you like coffee, I’d offer you some. But the last time that didn’t work out so well for me.” What did you think? That same visit concludes with the “dream scene”. Why do you believe Claire “compartmentalized” the sex away as a dream?
11. The Gala was the turning point in Truth. Claire was in the process of working with Meredith to expose her past with Tony, so why would she agree to be his companion at the Gala. What one of his rules from their past did Tony use to convince her she had no alternative?
