Jerry (jersysman) | 16 comments My reading challenge for this year is to read books dealing with The Civil War and Biographies of American Indians. I have always wanted to know more about each subject and this is the year that I am going to do it.

Thanks, Nyssa. On MR I have the 150 books read, which will supplement my non-fiction reading this year.

Nyssa | 1569 comments Would you like me to delete my previous post so that you can have the 2nd spot reserved? Didn't mean to mess up your flow, there.

Jerry (jersysman) | 16 comments That won't be necessary. :)

Jerry (jersysman) | 16 comments I didn't realize that there were so many books addressing these topics. I have already got a TBR that should last me most of the year. Yeah!!!

If you're in need of a framework for your reading on Native Americans, I recommend checking out Carl Waldman. Some of his stuff is out of print but still available for sale. I have his Atlas of the North American Indian, Revised Edition.

Jerry (jersysman) | 16 comments Thanks, Christa. I will keep that in mind and add the author to my list.

Jerry (jersysman) | 16 comments I completed my first Civil War book yesterday. These books are pretty long (956) pages, so I won't read a large number. But, I learned something.
