Are you not interested in this month's Group Read? Or maybe you've already read it or you finished it early and still have extra time to read? I think we've all been in this position. So, I thought I'd post a thread where you can advertise for Buddy Reads!

Buddy Reads are exactly what they sound like. If you want to read a particular book, but still want to discuss it with one or more people, place an advertisement for your book and maybe others will want to join you!

For example: "I've been dying to read City of Bones! I'll be starting it in one week (March 6th) and anyone who wants to join in on the fun can do so!"

Then one or a few others might like to read along with you. Once you and your Reading Buddies are ready to start a discussion over the book, you can start your own discussion thread!

There will be two different types of Buddy Reads here at YAholics Anonymous

1.) Traditional Buddy Reads

2.) Quickie Buddy Reads

Traditional Buddy Reads are exactly what I described at the beginning. Quickie Buddy Reads, on the other hand, will be particularly fast paced. We all have different paces with which we read. Some of us are able to finish a book in a day or two while others - either due to lack of interest or real life issues - take up to a week or more to read a single book. This is the point of the two categories. If you want to read a book quickly, but with other people, write up an advertisment for your book in the "Quickie Buddy Reads" section. If you want to go slower, post in the "Traditional Buddy Reads." Whichever type you choose, be sure to allow plenty of time before you start to read for others to sign up and show interest!

All discussion for Buddy Reads books with also be held within this folder.

It's a simple as that! Have fun!
