I'd rather be swimming in a heated pool.

message 3: by Goesta (new)

Goesta I'd certainly rather be stroking an actual book than complaining to other bibliophiles who are as blatantly neglecting their charges as I seem to be.

Screw it, I AM going to go read a book. And there's NOTHING else I'd rather be doing. except of course for Luscious Lucas. *slapping myself* *pouring contents of ice bucket down frontal anatomy* *feeling much better, thank you* So there. I am immune to LL's brain-melting charms the growing number of seductive threads on this wicked, wicked work of the devil lishly handsome Luc... *slap* *ow* .

Ije the Devourer of Books | 14524 comments I would like to be back in Cape Town, on the beach or reading a book.

message 5: by Goesta (new)

Goesta I'd like to (plaintively) ask the moderator of this thread to kindly build a complaint into the heading, along the lines of ... "If I weren't complaining, I'd rather be ..." or "It nettles me to realize that right now I'd rather be ...", so that we don't all endanger our disappointingly good standing in this group by posting a positive-sounding phrase about what we'd rather be doing.

Ije the Devourer of Books | 14524 comments I am annoyed because I have realised that if I wasn't responding to this thread I could actually be reading a book.

IF YOUR ANSWER IS READING INCLUDE WHERE YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE WHILE READING

message 9: by Goesta (new)

Goesta Well, that, I'm displeased to note, about wraps up this thread. No self-respecting member of GR would dare answer differently from Tina now. Way to crash a party.

I'd rather be poking my eyes out with L-c--'- --g j--c- c-c-
a stick than watching Wheel of Fortune right now. But I'll take a vowel. Hell, I'll solve the puzzle just so I can leave.

JustJen "Miss Conduct" (just_jen) If I couldn't be reading, I'd rather be receiving a full body hot oil massage.

Goesta Lucas wrote: "IF YOUR ANSWER IS READING INCLUDE WHERE YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE WHILE READING"

Oh, well I should have seen that coming. LL swooping in like the angel Gabriel waving his Flaming Sword and changing the rules in a despondent attempt to resuscitate his moribund thread.

So now we'll look forward to an interminable series of READING on beaches and in toilets and on busses and on canoes and while having sex and while having sex in toilets of busses and in canoes on the beach ....

I'd rather be vacationing on a goat farm in Turkmenistan. Or, come to think of it, receiving a full body hot oil massage (I'm sure no one else has thought of that yet!).

Jerry I'm lying in bed with my hubby right now waiting for each of us to be done with our tech devices s we can f**k like bunnies.

message 16: by Goesta (new)

Goesta I'd rather still be sleeping and dreaming about the angel Bagriel prodding me with his flaming sword than sitting here with nursing my morning hxxx-xx cup of coffee.

I'd frankly enjoy this thread even more *grumble* if LL changed the rules again and ordered us to write our responses in the form "I'd rather be .... than ...." which both statements being as outrageous yet weirdly believable as possible.

Good frigging morning all.

Goesta Gabriel, dammit. Still rubbing the sleep out. And I plainly don't understand some people's fascination with dangerous tropical snakes. Or maybe I do.

Exactly :-) There is no other reason...I would rather be anywhere warm where I could freakin' GO OUTSIDE without looking like an Umpa Loompa from all the layers I have to put on.

Maybe you could use one of the aforementioned tech devices to film said f**king so we have something to do...

Goesta I'd rather NOT be speed-reading this thread for recent messages, having accidentally burned an image of orange Oompa Loompas f**king bunnies with battery-powered devices by a volcanic lake while Macky is frantically trying to corral them so Tina can finally read.

Is that you G or one of your family? :)

Where's your piccy? Sorry I'm getting completely off thread here so I'll say I'd rather be cuddling Tintin because he looks so cute! So does JL but he's taken.... ;)

She's even more of a treasure than usual, because all of my daughter's relationships since she turned 16 were with women. Then last year she tells me she's dating a guy and voila! A grandkid!

See what happens when you get a bunch of us cooing over snapshots, no one else gets a word in edgewise. Sorry LL, you know I'm your champion! Go gaymance TV!

Fangtasia You're right G, sorry Lucas!

One of my friends here in GR has several gorgeous gay romance videos in his profile. One of them is called, I think, 100 best gay kisses. My favorite!

Let me see if I can find it and I'll post the reference here, for your enjoyment.

ETA: It's on Justin South's author profile, his videos page. Here: http://www.goodreads.com/videos/list_...

Enjoy!

No, nothing whatsoever. Heck, I have most of her ex-girlfriends as friends on my FB page, and one of them here in GR. But I did figure I'd never get grandkids, it's not easy and every expensive to do artificial insemination or adopt.

I'd rather not have to point out to Fang' and everyone else that we've been running roughshod over LL's Rules since the darling toddler and snarky dog appeared (kids & pets on stage - chaos ensues). Which is fine, since I'm feeling quite snarky myself (he knows why).

And I'd certainly rather be reassuring Fang' that there wasn't a shimmer of doubt that she was speaking out of love and proud grandparenthood, as well she should. :D
