How do we want to pick books that we read? How often do we move on to the next book?
I figure once we pick a book a new discussion topic can be made for the book where everyone can talk about it (so, needless to say, spoilers galore).

The name can also still be up for debate. I'm not attached to it.

Also, I've never used a goodreads group before let alone had all the options to play with so bare with me.

Joe | 3 comments I for one love the name. Book decision is a bit hairier. I trust your opinion for the most part, but we can always put it up to a vote. I think something like a chapter a week is fairly reasonable for reading speed. It can vary from book to book though.

Other than that bravo! This is a fantastic idea!

Going by chapters is kind of iffy because, as you said, it varies, and sometimes they don't even chapters! I was thinking something along to 50pgs per week? So if it were a 300pg book we'd read it in 6 weeks. Or a book a month? Unless its like GoT length . . .

Mary Ann Ringey I think books should be announced at the same time every month (such as the 1st of the month, or the 15th since the 1st already happened) and then the book will be open for discussion. If you haven't read the book then there is no need to go into the discussion section so if you do happen to wander in there, there can be no complaints about spoilers.

15th works. As of right now, I'm pretty sure I have the first book picked out.
As for picking the books, my plan will be to open up a poll with choices that people put in the groups "To-Read" bookshelf. I've been kind of creepy and gone through everyones personal "To-Reads" lists and added some of them to the groups, haha. A new poll will open up as soon as the new book is announced. Sound good?
