It must be March madness since I'm the one picking the children's read for this month! I picked Pippi in honor of my daughter. She is reading this right now and has become a Pippi fanatic. She is constantly talking about this book and wants me to read it with her. So, I'm sure many, many of you have read this one, but I have not and I can't wait to hear your thoughts and recollections of this little book.

This book was just rather funny, but I could see how a kid would really like this story. My daughter just loved how Pippi was so strong and had a horse living in her house. I enjoyed how she kept apologizing for her terrible behavior, but never seemed to get it right.

Andrea (buttondoll) I used to name all of my dolls and stuffed animals "Annika" for many years. I also loved the monkey and the horse.

Ha, that is funny! The horse had to have the patience of Job to deal with Pippi!

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) I read this book recently as part of a Children's Literature class in university. It was a short and sweet read, and I was amused with Pippi's character.
