♥Tricia♥ (siddie) | 407 comments Ok so this pisses me off so bad and I almost want to return this book..

I just bought it today because it looked interesting, I was at the book store looking for another book when I ran across A Vampire's Claim by Joey W. Hill

Now, there is nothing in the book, or on goodreads about the order of the series this is in. I see this is the 3rd but I dont know what the 1st or 2nd is.. I even checked the authors page to see all of her books listed.

UGH!!! Christ why cant they PUT AN ORDER ON THEM!?

I think I am going to take it back tomorrow.. =/

new_user Aw, sorry to hear that, Tricia. I hate it when that happens.

Jessica All changed! I agree, I hate when I buy books out of order.

♥Tricia♥ (siddie) | 407 comments Anyone read any of her stuff? Is it good?!

message 8: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ | 3901 comments Her stuff is great but the one you've chosen is book 3 in a BSDM series which is ok if you like that kinda stuff. Her angel/mermaid series is much more erotic.
A Mermaid's Kiss by Joey W. Hill
A Witch's Beauty by Joey W. Hill

♥Tricia♥ (siddie) | 407 comments Ooh sounds interesting!

I haven't read much in the BDSM, I don't mind it tho.

tosca (catatonichataholic) | 742 comments I've read The Mark of the Vampire Queen, Ice Queen, If Wishes Were Horses and Nature of Desire Mirror of My Soul. I meant to read the Vampire Queen books in order but only read book 2 and never finished it. D'OH.

new_user Yeah, her angel/mermaid series is romantic, dark, riveting, emotional, and quite eloquent. Very alpha heroes (actually, the first guy is Anne Stuart-esque). Plus, angels. Got to love the angst. ;)

♥Tricia♥ (siddie) | 407 comments Cool thanks for the input :D

The book I picked up sounded really good.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I totally agree with you about needing a reading order for the books. It's so frustrating to read out of order without realizing it until it's too late.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Now, for another rant...And I'm brining this up because I went and checked A Mermaid's Kiss and it's by Ellora's Cave. I'm really disgusted with Ellora's Cave publishing. I have purchased several of Lora Leigh's books and the ones by Ellora's Cave are of such poor quality in their editing. In some of the books there will be an entire chapter in italics, where italics are not needed. In several places the wording was so bad the sentence made no sense.

Granted, the stories are still good, but if I am going to PAY for a novel, I want a finished, professional product, not something that looks like a rough draft.

new_user Uniquely Moi, I can't account for Hill's other books, but I'm pretty sure A Mermaid's Kiss was published by Berkley, which is a pretty big publishing house. :)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish You're right about Mermaid's Kiss it's Penguin. Her other books, Virtual Reliality, Enchained and a few others are through Ellora's Cave.

Adrienne my copy of Mermaids Kiss is by Berkley::which is part of Penguin.
