i say very awesome
what do you guys say to the Death Penalty? I'm strongly pro b/c it has a strong detterent effect and it creates the fairest, most just, society. i know some pl disagree, but i cant understand why. lemme know what u think.....

Interesting point. I don't think people should die no matter what they've done. They can give them life in jail though.

And the diff is motivation and moral aspects. one person kills for malicous, evil, inhuman reasons while the other kills to prevent more murder, to enforce consequences for a person's action, to create a just and moral government that stands up to protect peoples lives. is there a contradiction in a policeman speeding after a speeder to enforce speeding rules? so to with capital punishmetn; the physical aspects may seem the same, but its the moral aspects that diffrentiate bet murder and execution.

Well if you think about it policemen break the law to catch the law breaker.
duh, the policeman breaks the law. but if he wouldn't do all he can to stop the speeder and punish him, people would be speeding all the time and breaking the law. it's like that with capital punishment. if we dont punish these murderers severly and give them the just punishment they deserve, than people would hesitate much less to pull the trigger or brandish that knife. how can murder be taken seriously if the punishment isnt equally as serious? hello, there's got 2 b pl who agree with me. anyone?

Like I said, just give them a life sentence in jail.
But as Ben said, then we have to pay for them to live everyday.
Which is true.
But it's our tax dollars. If taxes don't raise (as a result), is there a problem with using it for criminals?

yay! i was begining to think that there was no one left out there to put up a strong defense against vicious murderers out there.....there are cons to the death penalty of course. but at the end of the day, when all the figures come in .............. i think death penalty is so much more effective, safe and yes, even fair and just.
cool. so now that we covered the whole "dare we kill inhuman murderers" issue lets talk bout..........gun control.
