Ashley (icecheeseplease) 1) Anybody can request for a Book Support Group. Format for Book Support Group request threads must be: [Request] "Book Title" for "Proposed Start Date".

Example: [Request] Dune for April 1, 2013

Requester must cite Why there is a need for a book support group. Then set rules/mechanics/guidelines in the request thread. See previous [Request] posts to get an idea.

2) Two or more members have to sign up to read the book together.

3) Make a [Discussion] thread at least 3 days prior to the start of reading. Format can be: "Book" with "Requester" for "Date".

Example: [Discussion] Dune with Darliza on April 1-30, 2013

4) Book Support Group Members must use the [Discussion] thread to discuss the book.

Note: It is up to the requester to make the [Request] and [Discussion] threads and it is up to that requester to keep the discussion going by asking questions and creating discussion points.

Also, when making a new [Request] keep in mind the dates that you are wanting to do your reading over. Try not to have more than two or three Book Support Groups going per month.
(It's not a bid deal now but if it becomes a problem in the future we can make a 'sign up' type deal.)

((Other groups often call this type of thing a "buddy read." It's basically the same thing, just a bit more organized.))
