Some things regarding what you said:

I actually ended up reading up to chapter 8 last night (couldn't put the book down! It's getting soooo good!) So these are my thought up to that point :)

Haha, the one thing good about having some form of vacation on Passover is that I've got time to read :) Can't wait to hear your opinions on the book! It's getting impossible to put it away! (unless I'm writing you a comment, of course, in which case I'm allowed to put it down for a few seconds)

I'll read up to 11 after this and post tomorrow.

*It's a pretty cool idea for a challenge. Check out the first post for the rules http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... Maybe we could try a variant of that in this group.

There was a spoiler tag, but there seem to have been an error in it so it didn't register it and I didn't notice :/

That means he'll have some form of control over his Soullessness? If that so, than my theory won't be right :)
Summary: First, she has no soul. Second, she's a spinster whose father is both Italian and dead. Third, she was rudely attacked by a vampire, breaking all standards of social etiquette.
Where to go from there? From bad to worse apparently, for Alexia accidentally kills the vampire - and then the appalling Lord Maccon (loud, messy, gorgeous, and werewolf) is sent by Queen Victoria to investigate.
With unexpected vampires appearing and expected vampires disappearing, everyone seems to believe Alexia responsible. Can she figure out what is actually happening to London's high society? Will her soulless ability to negate supernatural powers prove useful or just plain embarrassing? Finally, who is the real enemy, and do they have treacle tart?
So what we're going to do is this... as Soulless only has 15 chapters, we're going to meet here after we finish chapter 3 and discuss first impressions of the plot, characters and writing.
After that, we shall meet every three chapters (6, 9, 12,15) to discuss how the plot progresses, relationships, revelations and twists, etc!
If any of you want to join, feel free too!
But, make sure to put everything you say under a SPOILER TAG! That's a must!
Okay, let's start!
