Ashley (icecheeseplease) FWD SLASH BOOKS

This is a link to the new community blog, FWD SLASH BOOKS.

To become a contributor to this blog, please email fwdslashbooks@gmail.com and we’ll create some magical things, discuss some other things and read a whole lot.

What's on the blog?
-Thoughts about current reads (such as current impressions, etc.)
-Reviews
-News, announcements - it'd be a perfect platform to announce events such as the reddit gift exchanges, new book releases, etc.

**this is tentative, let me know if you want anything changed**

Hey everyone,

As of right now the aesthetics of the blog is tentative - it'll change as we progress and move forward with this.

Secondly, I'll be lurking the boards and creating a weekly round up of the group's events and discussions every Sunday... This will be good if you need to catch up on monthly reads, polls, etc. it'll also prove useful for finding topics easily.

If you have any content ideas, please let me know!

GOD IT WAS HORRIBLE. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!

...I'm kidding. I just wanted an opportunity to be brutish and angry. I have no opinion about the book itself, seeing as I've never read it, but I really like how your entry was written - especially the brief explanation of the game... (Baseball isn't really my forte...being Canadian and all, hockey is more the game.)

In another light, I've added another entry to add onto our eReader vs. printed copy debate! http://wp.me/p3ksOG-r :)

Our wonderful contributor, Annie, has also shared a review of Year of the Flood with us here: http://wp.me/p3ksOG-d

@Rose, aww thank you Rose. I was about to post that I added my input but got distracted by real life. I'll try to write more reviews to add on there.

A very heavy, and touching post by Darliza here, about Iain Banks' latest announcement. Please give this one a read!

The weekly roundup is looking good!

I missed this week's round-up! I apparently missed setting an alarm for it, but here's an absolutely terribly-written fangirling of American Gods and Anansi Boys. I literally just finished Anansi Boys and enjoyed it so much that I honestly can't wrap my head around writing about it >_>;

I'm a bit pre-occupied to arrange today's weekly round-up so it'll be up later tonight!!! :)

I love your weekly roundups! Maybe you should start posting a version of them here? Or create a thread for them here with an intro like, here's a quick guide to what we're doing this week.

Just an idea! :D

Perhaps! That's a good idea! It's really hard for me to keep up with the blog and group right now as I'm in a frantic part of my life it seems LOL. I'll definitely think about it in the coming days :)

Hey everyone! Just making a small adjustment to this thread, I'm going to be submitting the newsletter content to this site and hoping that will replace/substitute for the weekly roundup. The next update will be when the newsletter goes out.

Also, I restarted my twitter and I post updates there on discussion posts and point out the new discussions posts. Feel free to add me: twitter.com/starquietannie
