I agree consequence & truth are really mind-blowing-intense read. Though its not as sexually explicit as the dark duet series & The lover/ villain is different kind of animal & You might also like Sempre, another criminal baddy boyfriend, which is equally intense .

What is the lonely about and who is the author? Thanks!

Thanks, If you know something else with such psychological thrillers then do let me know i enjoy reading it :)

No problem:-) but I definetly will let u know if I can think of anything else.

:)

Also try Bec Botefuhr's Dark Brother series. #3 comes out soon. Amethyst-y wrote: "Swativ1008 wrote: If you know something else with such psychological thrillers then do let me know i enjoy reading it :) "

So glad to hear that. I loved the story, didn't think it was Shakespeare, but it kept my interest and I got further and further involved. Can't wait for #3.

Also thought of another book I liked in a somewhat similar vein (and very dark and brutal) Trust in Me by Skye Warren. Swativ1008 wrote: "@judy Actually i had already read screaming in the silence but i will read the tied man if its dark I enjoy dark books :)"

Hey Judy are the Sky Warren books stand alone's or continuations ?? I have the first on my list but wasn't sure if I would have to jump right into the next.

This Skye Warren book was a stand alone. I have a (long) list of book #2's or #3's that I'm waiting to be published and her name isn't on it so I think all of the books I've read of hers are stand alone. Hope this helps.Terri wrote: "Judy wrote: "Just beware that The Tied Man is not for the faint of heart but certainly a great read. Judy - Well if you liked The Tied Man over Concsequences I guess I will have to check it out - thanks for the recommendation!

For those reading "The Tied Man" just know it is not for the faint of heart. But,it is extremely well written and for me was life changing. There will be some parts that will be hard to get through, but just hang on. It's worth the ride.

Just so you know there will be (per author Tabitha McGowan) a "Tied Man Unbound" in the future. Book #1 has no cliffhanger and can be read as a stand alone but when you finish TTM #1, I think you will be so happy with more of the story.
I'd be interested in knowing how you like Comfort Food. I've read mixed things.

Yes to both. Most of these kind of books have an experienced Dom. This Dom had no idea he was going to be one, or even want to be one. The inner dialogue is amazing as they fall deeper into their roles as D/s. Not just D/s, but Master/slave.

YES YES YES!! the second is even better although Consequence really good Truth is off the chain you wont see it coming! READ IT!

Thanks for the Comfort Food thoughts. I think I will pass on that one. My kindle is totally full of books I haven't read yet so I'll concentrate on those.
Trisha: Sorry to disappoint, but I really tried hard on Consequences, just couldn't bring myself to care about the characters at all. The Tied Man spoiled me.50shadeslvr wrote: "I finished Comfort Food last week and it was a total letdown. It started out promising and then just totally fizzled. To each his o

No not The Tied Man, but Take Me, Break Me. I haven't read The Tied Man yet, but I have it on my TBR list. I may have to bump it up. It sounds really good.

Thanks for the update. Take Me, Break Me is one of the many books I have sitting unread on my Kindle. And, even though I said I wouldn't buy anymore for awhile, what a liar I am. I bought three more this morning. I am definitely a bookaholic (if there is a cure I don't want it). (Bought Protege, The Berkeley Method and Close Up and Personal).
I also pimped a little more on Amazon for "The Tied Man." I don't know what happened to me after I read that book, but Finn & Lilith are burned into my soul and I'm out in cyberspace trying to help them one reader at a time.

I just went to Barnes and Noble and found that "The Tied Man" indeed is not there. Can't believe it. I've corresponded a few times with Tabitha McGowan, the author. She is on Goodreads. I will attempt to reach her and see if she has a solution or an answer. Don't be surprised to find a message from her on this thread.

Just left a message for Tabitha. I will be in Rochester, Minnesota next week and they have a big Barnes and Noble (none near by teeny, tiny town) and I will casually drop in and give them hell.
Wanda, just want to make sure you've read the other comments. This is a beautiful but dark and brutal book. I believe there will be times when you think you can't go any further but trust me you will never regret finishing it.

At the moment, The Tied Man is tied in(no pun intended) to kindle's KDP Select, which means it is exclusively available for kindle. I've realised this is a bit of a bummer for a lot of readers with a nook, or similar, and I'm really sorry! Basically, because I'm a one-woman show, it's a choice between throwing most of my energy into book 2, 'The Tied Man - Unbound' and selling the first book exclusively through Amazon, or marketing it across several different platforms, with all the energy and focus that would need. The kindle software *can* be downloaded for free for ipad/ipod, pc,mac and smartphone - I know a good number of people have read it through that medium. Not a perfect answer, I know, but possibly better than not being able to access it at all! Warmest regards, Tabitha x

Tabitha -- thank you for the information! Tonight when I get home, I will have to see what I can find online regarding downloading the Kindle software onto my iPod or laptop.
Thanks again, I'm really looking forward to reading this book:)

No problem - I know my stepmum read it via iPod, and had no issues. Hope you enjoy it! (I've got quite a few new reads lined up from this thread myself :D )

Thanks Tabitha!!
I guess I'll have to cool my response when I go into Barnes and Noble in Rochester. Now I'll just casually pull my Kindle out of my purse and very nicely ask the helpful clerk if they have this book (TTM) in paperback and when he/she tells me B&N doesn't but tries to sell me a Nook, I'll politely ask to have them show it to me on the Nook and take it from there.
