Piseog I love the family dynamic in the shifter series, particularly Stray. Loads of brothers, over-protective parents, female protagonist, supernatural world etc. I cannot find another series with a similar feel. Does anyone else know of a book or series that has this?

Thanks! I agree, but I already read it.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've already read them all though. I think that's the problem. I'm running out of new ones:)

N. Davis Have you read the "Kitty" series? "Kitty goes to War", is one book title, but I can't remember the author or if this is the first book.

Yep I read those. Stopped after book 9 though. Thanks for the suggestion!

Catie Rhodes I can think of a lot of series with great heroines, but I'm coming up short on ones that have *everything* the Shifters series had.

I'm reading Stronger Than Magic right now, and it has a heroine in a position similar to Faythe's. As in, she is expected to sacrifice herself in order to further her species. It also has the overprotective family. This is the first book in the House of Xannon series, and I have no idea when the next one is coming out.

I've also read and liked book one of the Graveyard Queen Series ~ The Restorer. The supernatural world in this one is limited to ghosts, so it may not be exactly what you're looking for. However, the series has been picked up for development by one of the TV networks. Might be fun to read it before the TV series hits.

This last one may not interest you at all, and the paranormal elements are again limited to ghosts. Plus, it's YA. However, I have found myself really liking The Lying Game series. I've read books one and two so far and intend to continue reading them. Even if you've watched the series on TV, please believe me when I say the books are different enough to surprise you. For one thing, they have the paranormal element. For another, the mystery is not playing out the same as on the show.

Thanks so much for your suggestions! I have read the Graveyard Queesn Series (very creepy), but I haven't read the other two. Must check them out.
