Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 611 comments 1. There are so many! The one I'm looking forward to most though - well, ones technically since it's sort of three books - is "The Lord Of The Rings" which is another of the books I keep saying I'm going to read and haven't gotten to. I'm trying to get some of those read this year, and "The Lord Of The Rings" is at the top of the list now that I've read "War And Peace" already.

Not really that I can think of

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 611 comments 2. I swear people torture me with pizza and chocolate! Mind you, I always notice when food is mentioned, and always end up hungry if it's mentioned a lot in a book I'm reading, regardless of what the food is.

message 12: by Jeshu (new)

Jeshu (jeshusauria) pizza and pancakes too!! i swear, these fictional people don't know any other dishes!

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Yep, definitely a lot of fictional people eating pancakes. Maybe it's because in real life no one can be bothered to make them so authors try to live vicariously through their characters.

I have older brothers, and learned to read and write because I wanted to do "homework" with them, and I've loved to read and write ever since. I dare say my abilities weren't that great for the first year or so mind you, but I officially started reading for pleasure as soon as I learned how to figure out which letter was which.

Me too! It'll probably be the next film I see at the cinema too - I don't go very often at all.

message 42: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 611 comments 11. Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part 2. I know because I don't go to the cinema much so can easily remember what I watch there. I prefer to wait for things to be out on DVD as a rule, because I get frustrated with the way people behave in the cinema and it takes the enjoyment out of the movie for me. Thing is, it's annoying enough for most people when you get idiots messing about and making loads of noise while you're trying to watch a movie, but it's worse when you can't see so have to rely on your hearing alone for the movie while people are behaving like that! I'd rather risk wasting my money on a DVD I don't like than waste my money on a movie experience that's not enjoyable and a movie I couldn't hear over the noise of the audience.

Covet (Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance, #1) by Felicity E. Heaton Covet(Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance, #1) by Felicity E. Heaton , i rated it 3 stars.

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

I think my worst so far would be Rock Me by Cherrie Lynn. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever read but the heroine was very annoying.

message 45: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 611 comments 12. Most of the books I've read this year have been pretty good, but I've had a couple of zombie novels that were so poorly edited it's not even funny, and a short story called "Sweet And Sour Pork" which just confused me (it was meant to be an alternative version of "The Three Little Pigs" but it was just weird and confusing).

Ok so I'm rather behind on this thing...

1. What book(s) are you looking forward to reading this year?
A few - the last in the Razorland series, the final Divergent book, the new Deanna Raybourn, another Graveyard Queen instalment, the next Sentinels of New Orleans, Orleans itself... and more! Too many...

2. In a book, do you hear many repeats of a food?
There are some books that never seem to shut up about food. I had starved myself for a dentist appointment earlier this week (13h30) and the book I was reading while in the waiting room just kept going on and on about food. I had to stop reading!

3. What is the longest book you have read so far this year?
Not sure as I haven't been counting pages. According to my GR stats it was Insurgent.

4. What book(s) are you currently reading at the moment?
Shatter Me, but I'm not enjoying it, The Language of Flowers, and The Madness Beneath.

5. What countries cuisine fascinates you?
(Country's Tara!!)
Hungarian. It's yummyand you don't see enough of it here.

6. What is the shortest book you have read so far this year?
Ours Is Just a Little Sorrow by Gwen Hayes.

7. Are you scared of spiders?
Scared shitless of 'em. Horrible things.

8. Which genre(s) do you usually read?
Usually fantasy / sci-fi related. I always check those sections of the bookshop first.

9. When did you first start reading? (excludes when you had to read in school )
Ever since I can remember. My parents instilled a love of books in me for which I am very thankful.

10. What new releases are you excited about?
Wasn't this question 1?
Mila 2.0 ; Orleans ; Splintered - all new releases this year.

11. What's the last movie you saw at the cinema?
The Hobbit. I wanted to see the Oz movie but the boyfriend wrangled his way out of it... so now he owes me €100 worth of something of my choice. I have a signed contract and everything!

12. What is your worst book(s) so far this year?
It's a tie between Shatter Me, which I haven't actually finished yet, No Peace for the Damned, and Hired by the Cowboy.

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 611 comments 13. I don't like to spend more than absolutely essential on clothing, but I brought some walking boots for £40, which isn't too bad for a pair of walking boots, but was more than I like to spend on shoes (or clothing in general). Either way clothes don't last these days, so why spend a fortune on something you'll be replacing soon, when you can spend quarter of the price for something that lasts as long? Besides, then there's more money for books! ;)

13. What's the most you've ever spent on a single item of clothing?

Probably around the €300 mark.

I still get my jeans from C&A but other than that I tend to spend a bit more on clothes so I get the better quality fabrics that keep their shape better and look more professional in the work place.
