OMG, I would just die!!!! :) That would be awesome. OK... maybe not entirely. I think when I read, I get caught up in the story, but I am still usually imagining them with their character's interests, not necessarily with me.

Jenna Brooks (goodreadscomjenna_brooks) | 0 comments Me? I'd yell at him for letting Samantha get away in the first place. The big dummy.

But that's just me... :D

C.E. Kilgore (cekilgore) I don't think I would know what to do with my favorite male leads, since I tend to read Sci-Fi and Urban Fantasy romance... so the guy is likely to be an alien or something even more odd (Urban Fantasy has gotten so creative lately...) But, the more I think about it, if Noah was suddenly to walk off the pages of Carly Fall's "The Light Within Me", I think I'd die, then I'd come back and make him take me to dinner.

Heidi Angell (heidiangell) | 131 comments I look back at the male characters that I have been drawn to and notice a bit of a pattern. I like the strong, silent type that tend to infuriate by not being able to share their emotions... which is so deeply ironic because I married one of those and he drives me insane when he can't tell me what he is thinking or feeling. Even though he makes me laugh and we are the best of friends, when things get tough and I want to talk it out, he sort of shuts down and says "whatever you think is best." Argh, seriously!!!

C.E. Kilgore (cekilgore) I think it is probably pretty obvious why we think of the male leads first. For many of us, a compelling male lead is one of the reasons we read a romance novel. I do like strong female characters and do not like weak ones. I also prefer the ones who are a bit unsure of themselves, perhaps a bit geeky, so we would probably go out for coffee or geek out over a star-trek marathon.

Stacey Hunt (staceytianna) | 12 comments That would be so awesome if the characters from the book I'm writing stepped off the page and became real! Of course, whenever I'm reading, I already feel like I'm in the book:)

Megan Denby (megandenby66) | 8 comments After reading Diana Gabaldon's Outlander, I found myself looking for Jamie Fraser in crowded places. I knew he would tower above every other man and the sun would touch his skin and turn the broad planes of his face to gold. But, alas, I never found him. I think if we ever met our favourite characters in real life, we might be a little disappointed.

Mercedes (mudmule99) | 28 comments I like horror and fantasy so if a character stepped out of the pages I think it would be too weird for them in our normal world. I always put a face to a voice and it never matches. When I read Twilight I sure didn't see Robert Pattinson, although I did like him in the movie.

So true, Dianne. With the exception of Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist from Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, most movie characters just don't measure up to their written counterparts in my opinion. By the way, congratulations on your success so far - awesome!

Martine (martinealaplage) Interesting idea... The thing is, as I discover the characters, it always feels like I get to know them and they become a part of my life. The problem is, I never see their face clearly. Almost like it's kind of blurred. I see their body clearly, but never their face. So hopefully, if they were to actually come out of the book, their face would be clearer! Otherwise, I guess it would be kind of scary! But I wouldn't mind if Jeremy Danvers would show up in my bedroom (where my books are)!

Patti | 8 comments I actually thought many a times while reading Kristen Ashley's Rock Chick series how I would love for the whole gang to just insert themselves into my life. I went through some major withdrawals when I finished the series. It wasn't only the hot alpha men I missed but the relationships that formed with the tight knit friends.

Whew! Good question. I am fond of the Count of Monte Cristo but he could be a very dangerous man to have breakfast with. I'd nod and smile a lot and make sure to let him challenge my intellect; the guy wasn't really big on stupidity...

Stan Morris (morriss003) I would be good with it as long as Solo brought the Falcon with him and offered me a ride.

Stan Morris (morriss003) I'm not sure. I guess he could bring his wife, and she could hang out with mine. Wonder how Laia feels about the Food Channel?
