Hey Jenna, wow, this has been crazy. I still editing the first AC novel and working on fixing the plot for the second. It's funny, I write out my plotline and how it's going to go...after I wrote it and went back, I skipped so much of what I was supposed to put it. Things are going well, just busy, busy, busy. Now I'm going to work on tweeting :)
From then on, I fantasized about Zeus, Perseus, Theseus, Achilles, Persephone, Aphrodite, Orpheus and many, many more. I planned from that moment; I would get to Greece no matter what. Until that day could come, I read and studied as much about the ancient world as I could.
Finally, after divorce, kids grown and out of the house, and my 60hr-a-week management job was gone…I took some time out for me.
For a person that had never left the US (except Canada) due to fear of being alone…I packed up and hopped on a plane to travel the archeological ruins of Greece for two weeks, all by myself. I was scared spitless, but I didn’t care. I was able to walk up to the Parthenon, Oracle of Delphi, stood on the burial mound of Thermopylae and walked the narrow walkways of Mykonos.
If you knew me, you can guess what I did when I stepped out of that plane for the first time. Yea…I cried and my tour guide, Michael, thought I was plum crazy, lol.
I could go on and on about my adventures in Greece (I had plenty of them), but I want to talk to you guys about what you love about mythology. What are your favorite myths and why.
You know, I love it so much, I even wrote a book or two about it. They’re not published yet, but they will be soon. If you want to know more, you can see me at:
