Details of the sale are here: http://www.riptidepublishing.com/news...

Thanks! I have been wanting to read Frat Boy and Toppy and that's a good price to get it.
Thanks for the heads-up, Allan!
I just had a look through their catalogue, and what the heck, I decided to be self-indulgent and so I ordered a couple of titles (which I will no doubt mention here on the forum before too long...).

Now, if only the second book in the series would come on sale! Though---I should read the first before buying the second, shouldn't I... I have it at hand, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet.

Thanks Mercedes - great finds!

I'm not familiar with this book or the author, but it's about a hockey player - and free! - so I'm giving it a try.
(The GR page only comes up with a Google search, not an internal GR search.)
Thanks for the information on
Noah
. At 122 pages the story is shorter than those I usually buy, but since it's free I'm more than willing to give it a chance.

Lethe Press has a Scott freebie entitled Bonfire Night - which is another short tale set in the chronological period between Point of Hopes and Point of Dreams.

Arrrrrrgh.... I succumbed to irresistible temptation and bought a couple of titles (seemed like a good offer). I just can't resist a sale---though I'm always careful and do a lot of comparison shopping from different sites to get the best deal...

Not sure for how long.

Also check twitter (https://twitter.com/dreamspinners) as they will be doing tweetaways which may result in free books (available for an hour from time of tweet) if it's anything like the last tweetaways. You don't have to join twitter to take advantage just keep the link handy. I still haven't read all the free books I got last time.

Rats, I'm afraid this is going to be a source of irresistible temptation, even though I've put myself on a tight budget for the time being and was determined NOT to buy any new books right now. Arrrrgh.....

Maybe... ha!

Be aware that the author has said that she fixed some plot holes, etc in the Turbulence Collection in case you'd prefer to get that. It's $5.99.

Gack! I should've waited. Bought the compendium volume two weeks ago. But thanks for the shout-out Jax.

Unfortunately, it seems extremely unlikely that I'm going to manage to catch any freebies they're giving away over the next month, darn it all. I do check in on their Twitter page each time I sit down at the computer, but the chance I'll happen to be at the computer at the same time the publisher is running a giveaway is practically nil. Arrrrrrrgh....
('Course, if they had a giveaway at the same time every day I could make a point of trying to be at the computer, but---I don't know if they're scheduling it this way.)
Still, I do plan to take advantage of their sales events. At the moment I'm trying to decide on a couple of books from their sale list to buy this week.... decisions, decisions....

Jax----thanks SO MUCH for mentioning that the Turbulence series is currently free over on Amazon---I've just downloaded the lot.
I've been curious to try out these stories for a while---if I like what I read, perhaps I'll spring for the one-volume, revised and polished version.

I believe they tweet at random times (usually at least twice a day) for a 1 hour period. That's how it was for the November tweetaways when they gave away 60 books.
As for the GMT times, if you click on the tweet with the announcement it should show you the time of the tweet. It also shows on twitter how long it's been since the tweet and as long as that time is in minutes you should be able to catch the free book. They also tweet reminders at 30 and 15 minutes left so that's something to look for as well.
Not sure if this will help or not, but good luck the rest of the month!

Woohoo, I snagged a Dreamspinner freebie! And with just moments to spare...
Actually, this is going to end up rather like a treasure hunt (if a treasure hunt was governed completely by chance and luck and not any skill on my part, that is). It's fun to see if I can catch any of these one-hour offers while they're running. I've no doubt that I'm going to miss the vast majority of them, but perhaps I can snag a few more before the month is over.

Steampunk fantasy-paranormal sounds great Jax .... but being unfamiliar with the two authors - I think I might await your verdict before proceeding. A MC named "Querilous" - wow!

I managed to snag this book as well---just before I had to turn off the computer because a thunderstorm was rolling through the area. So, that made me happy---I love freebies.
I'm thinking, what the heck, why don't I dive into it right off and see what I think...

Thanks, Mercedes! I took advantage of the coupon to buy J L Merrow's latest book.

Thanks for the heads-up; never hurts to save a few pennies! Everyone should take note, though, that Carina sells ePub files---so if you have a Kindle you'll need to convert them to mobi files using Calibre.

Dreamspinner continues with their sale---this third week has an entirely new set of titles on special offer. I see that the "Rock Bay Series" by M.J. O'Shea is included this week. These have been on my list for a while, and I was wondering if anyone here has read them---are they worth buying?

https://www.allromanceebooks.com/prod...

October country I have not yet read a book by MJ O'Shea. Thanks for the heads up. I wanted to get
I Can See For Miles by Lisa Worrall. This sale also includes books by Sarah Black, one of them which is The General and the Horse-Lord
Thanks for the heads up Jon.

Chaser giveaway will be between 10-11 am EST, which would mean between 9-10 central, 8-9 mountain, and 7-8 Pacific. Sorry, it's three hours EARLIER out there on the west coast.
Chaser

I think that's between midnight and 1:00am Friday here in Sydney! Should I set the alarm? :)
Just checked on Dreamspinners Twitter page, as I have been doing multiple times each day ever since they started their free giveaway sales event. And I was happy to see this:
Ah, cutie Charlie David---I think I've had a little crush on him for quite some time now! Now, if he would only record Klune's Tell Me It's Real ---I loved that book...

10 more minutes to grab it!

Kim Fielding's follow up to Good Bones Buried Bones is included. This title comes out 5/22. I am so tempted but I promised a friend I would lend her my book so I need to buy from Amazon.

Thanks for the heads-up; I liked her first were-story and I'll go ahead and pick up the sequel.

I think we all don't mind saving a penny now and again, so please feel free to post on this thread if you hear of a free offer, or that a sale is taking place, and want to share the news. Many of the group members will be most grateful to you for the information!
