Finished, now to put some thoughts down on paper ...


here's my review: Mike



A well-written friendship is always a draw for me, too, and Psmith's adoption of Mike / cool indifference toward Mike / attempt to help Mike without Mike knowing / embarrassment when Mike finds out is, like, adorable. They're kind of a wacked-out school-aged Holmes and Watson; lots of fun. I was hoping to make a friend like Psmith in college. Still working on it!
If you enjoyed it try Psmith In the City! (Confession: Everybody likes the last two Psmith books better, but I think he's really at the top of his game in the first two, when he causes strange stuff to happen in mundane settings. In the second two books, strange things happen to him, and it makes him seem slightly more passive and less outrageous.)
