NBRC: Tower Teams Read 2013, Round II discussion

Please feel free to set-up whatever you want under your folders.

However, discussions will take place over in the regular NBCR group.

If you want to set-up a "Welcome" prototype here with a picture, that is fine.

However, I will be "freezing" the hyperlink thread once you have things worked out.

If you want to keep your Team Captain/Co-captain discussion here, that is fine.

If I do NOT see any discussion at all, I will create a Captains' Chat and post a

I will be posting Team Assignments later tonight or early a.m. I'm waiting to hear back from one Captain on a crucial issue.

Teams are between 6-12 people.

We are shooting for a goal of around 1,350. It is much harder to get all Teams even when they are smaller.

• Besides the page count requirement, we’ve added another question to get in: Which Team are you on? A few people have signed up for a different Team. Plus, it saves me a step in looking it up.

• Also, for those members who are answering the page count question wrong, we are sending them a PM.

• It is perfectly all right for members to change their goals! Certainly NOT a problem. We just want to know.

Lilac suggested that we change the end date of the challenge so that everyone's percent will be an accurate reflection of their Yearly Goal.

We are in the process of doing this. However, we will be done way before April 11, 2014. I hope! LOL!

✔ percent of goal
✔ joined correctly/right goal
✔ member's hyperlink to challenge/view books screen

✔ bookshelf name
✔ last date book posted
✔ page count check last done

Captains/Co-Captains

Could you please start contacting those members who have NOT yet joined the "sister group" or signed in. In order for me to "invite" them to join, they have to be a friend of the Mod Account or my GRs friend.

I have been sending out FRs, but it is a long process, as they have to accept. Also, some people have blocked the Mod Account in an effort to reduce the amount of mail they receive, and I have NO way of knowing this.

Since you will most likely become their friend, it would be easier if you sent out the FRs.

for Leather Jacket Black....I did send out pm's last night but still have about 4 to respond....will wait till later tonight my time and send out another one....our team is very international it seems so we might have some delays and people out for the weekend....

I sent out a welcome pm to most of our members yesterday with the links for the discussions, bookshelf thread, etc. I was not able to reach three of them because they have their profiles set to private and messaging disabled. Two of those three have since checked in...so that leaves one member who has not received a pm message or shown up in the bookshelf thread.

Amanda, can you send me a PM as to who that last member is? Thanks!

I've PM'd/FR'd the ones who are missing. Most have joined the sister group already just not signed up for the challenge itself, so I've told them how to do that.

Madilynn, this other Google Spreadsheet might help you. You'll have to compare it against the other one I sent to find your people. Links are towards the far right; you want the second one posted; the first is from Round I.

Reporting in that all members are present and accounted for in Cerulean (AKA Hobbit Blue) except for Sanz who has not checked in, responded to messages or posted anything on GR since Apr 9.

I think you already know this from messages on our thread, but you have not updated the spreadsheet to reflect our other members as present. So I am posting this here as a reminder since you are so busy right now.

Hobbit team - I increased my goal because Karen lowered hers to 100. That's why we are yellow. Our team total is 1354. :D

Magenta Mix-Up has 4 members that haven't checked in. I sent messages to them and asked them to check in.

Radical Red is still waiting for 2 members (combined goal 580 books). I sent messages on Sunday, and since then both have joined the sister group but not checked in for the challenge itself. I'll send another message and see if I get a response.
