Fragments (Partials Sequence, #2) Fragments question

The first Human/Partial Hybrid?

I was wondering that myself! Maybe it will be explained/corrected in the third book?

Well I remember reading that, Ariel, was fertilized artificially unlike Isolde, who tried to procreate Senator Hobb. I'm not saying that this would have any effect whatsoever on the baby being a partial-human, but I'm just saying that this fact should also be put into consideration.

So when does the next book come out???

I was wondering this as well. Thinking about it, the only thing that makes sense is that Ariel underwent IVF with an egg that wasn't hers as a result of the Hope Act and therefore was carrying an embryo that was not genetically hers. Assuming IVF was used this makes some sense since harvesting eggs is a rather involved procedure.

Regina this is a good explanation. I had assumed it was artificial insemination and not IVF. Even so, I think Wells could have taken a sentence somewhere to ...more

Ariel for sure had a baby. I was so confused by the end I googled it and came across this convo. I hope there is a good explanation like IVF!

does it mean that isolde's babay will die as well

That is a good question, I really hadn't even thought of that before. Because if that baby had been the same as Isolde's it would've had the weird case of RM that didn't look normal... o.O FACTUAL ERROR! Good catch!

I wondered that too. Madison's baby was also a hydbrid.

No, Madison was the test subject that all of the partials were being compared to. She is a normal human.
