I know so very little about George III but I was intrigued by the thought that the king may have actually been mad. I have heard that it was the genetic disorder but in some respects a psychiatric disorder does seem more likely.

What do the rest of you think?

That for that link Amanda. That is very interesting reading. From the descriptions of George III's behavior, it certainly seems to me that a diagnosis of bi-polar makes sense. There are so many things that our current scientific knowledge and technology would let us know about the royal dynasties throughout history, if only it had been available then.

It would, wouldn't it Susanna. Poor guy, he probably wouldn't even know what he was doing half the time.

Which sounds really strange if you think about it, lol.

I have to admit, I do not know much about George III, really. I am getting excited to read more about him. Living in the US, we really don't study him much.
