This series is a little on the mature side

my iPod is ready to go! If I didn't have 8,000 words to write until next Tuesday we could begin sooner :(

i just want to say that i have read a lot of this series, and my favorites are books two and three!

I have read all of them (I'm now re-reading the series), and I totally agree with you, books 2 and 3 are the best!

Then again, they are my favorites Brothers!

I started Tatiana.I couldn't use my computer.
Anyway I like Beth a lot.And I still have to get used to Wrath,but otherwise the book's great.

While I was re-reading, I was amazed at how far the characters have come in the series.

And I agree, Beth is great! I think all of the shellans are amazing!

Even Marissa?

Oh yes! She changes quite a bit, becomes more likeable and stronger in the next books. But if I had to rank all the shellans, she would not be my favorite.

Oh,I felt actually sorry for her in the start.
So which book is your favourite in the series?

The first books are the best!

I really liked reading Rhage's and Zsadist's stories, I think they are book 2 and 3 :)

I look forward to them.So far they are my favourites in the brotherhood.

Where are you in the book?

Not so far.I am in the part where Beth returns home from Darius' house.When Wrath tells her to go since he started to lose control.

chapter 1 (view spoiler)[ and we're immediately into a sex scene, and he's ripping her clothes off again. she must need to shop like all the time to keep up with the amount of clothes he rips off her. (hide spoiler)]

prologue (view spoiler)[ So i forgot that all the king's for a while were Wrath son of Wrath so for the first couple of pages i was thinking this was the current Wrath, not his father. Be interesting to see how this prologue plays into the story. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I am wondering if perhaps she has somehow kick started it. As clearly something is wrong ( or at least) off. Also given John's reaction to her, and being of the same blood, may he is somehow reacting the the fact and needing to know he needs to be away from her right now.

I was reading the glossary of terms earlier and it said that males reacted to females in their needing and for females in their needing who did not have a mate, that males around her could get aggressive with each other in regards to the female so maybe male blood relatives get some sort of cue to get out of the way for a while? Or maybe I am reading way to much into it :-p (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ not that i am defending Wrath because i agree the what Wrath said about not servicing Beth in her needing and the way he said it to her was even worse but obviously Beth had some idea about Wrath's feelings about the subject given she was going to see Layla in secret.

Surely though when Wrath re took up the title of King, he must have been aware that for it to be worth something it needed to continue on after him no matter how long lived a race they may be. Obviously it is a fear of loss that holds him to his beliefs but I am really hoping that fear won't lose him Beth altogether because she is right it is a partnership and he needs to be taking her feelings into account rather than issuing decrees to her (hide spoiler)]

I quite like Trez and I am so not minding following their story except given theirs is the next book after this i feel it will be mostly tease on their storyline and not much meat :-( (hide spoiler)]

finished (view spoiler)[ I thought the ending felt a little rushed like the author couldn't wait to get to the end and I think my idea of a democracy may be a bit different from J R Ward's as i was a little surprised that he was elected for life. And even if the commoners voted for Wrath, I doubt those of the former glymera would so saying it was unanimous, whilst I think I understand the angle the author was going for seems a little far fetched. There were some tears for me towards the end like when Wrath got so excited we was having a son and was shoving the ultra sound picture in everyone's face. i wasn't even sure he know what an ultrasound photo was LOL (hide spoiler)]
