Here is where we can discuss Promise of Blood by Brian McClellan chapters 24-31.
DO NOT post any spoilers from further along in the book, this is just for chapters 24-31. Discussing events from these chapters and previous ones though is perfectly fine.

Just finished Chapter 27. It's all very dramatic! I have absolutely no idea who the traitor could be. I'm starting to like Tamas a lot more now, particularly after his abduction, but I think there was a lot more to that abduction than it seems... and will be linked to the traitor... I dunno.

Also, I worry about what's going to happen to Taniel, Ka-Poel and Bo... I think somethings going to happen up at the fort with all those Kez soldiers and Priviledged and Julene...

I'm on chapter 27 and I don't know. I'm just not feeling this book. It's written well. The worldbuilding is interesting. I like the characters. I'm not sure what the problem is. But it feels like a sequel more than a first book. There is no introduction. I don't know who the characters are, so even though I like them, I do not care for them. I've come this far so I'll (hopefully) finish.
