Neil Gaiman is everywhere.

Woah! I feel like the call of Neil Gaiman is reigning down! I just wrote a blog post on the book yesterday. BBC Radio 4 actually released a Neverwhere radio play not too long ago too!

Here's Neil's wiki page:

He has done a lot!
I loved American Gods, but it definitely seems like a love it or hate it book. I can't wait for the show or the sequel!
Neil Gaiman was one of the first writers to give me the creeps from reading a children's book. It was his Coraline book.

I read it after I saw the movie, both are very good!

That sounds great! Just added it to my 'to-reads'- And it looks like it's only a few days away from releasing!

Happy to share:)
So on the note that Neil Gaiman is everywhere... he's coming to Toronto. I have really good seats to where he'd doing his Q&A and stuff. Getting his new book so I can get it signed. Words cannot express my excitement!

Lucky! I'm jealous!!

I'm halfway through and have mixed feelings about it. It's imaginative and genuine, but it also seems to be a bit slow. I didn't enjoy American Gods until the halfway point so I'm hoping that's the case with this too.
All that being said, this book is incredibly short. I've only read for a bit over and hour and am already half done. Going to finish it now.

I actually meant The Ocean at the End of the Lane :)

I only have a little bit left of it, and I have to agree. As with all of Gaiman's writing, I always find it interesting. But I don't know what it is. Maybe because it is so short, but I don't feel like I got into it really. Felt like a short story that didn't really capture my interest that much. I had sort of the same issue early on with American Gods, but I learned to like it a while into it. This one, I won't have that chance. Oh well.
Oi oi! Decided to resurrect this topic to post a link about my experience with the Neil Gaiman live!

I've always thought it would be great to go to a reading or signing by David Sedaris-- I can't imagine he is anything short of hilarious, since his books are (for me) some of the funniest works I've read.
Back to Gaimon, I finally got a copy of American Gods from my favorite used book store, The Amazing Alonzo. I saw it on the desk right when I walked in and asked of that was someone's purchasing pile. It wasn't so I grabbed it like a kid grabbing a candy bar. The lady at the shop said she just can't keep the Gaimon on the shelf!
It seems that Neil Gaiman is back in our book club with a request for American Gods,

I actually won a signed copy of Ocean just before it was widely released but haven't read it yet. My bad.....Count me in on the discussion for American G-ds. (I am Jewish and we never mention His name that is why typed this way)
