Erika Hébert *****SPOILER ALERT!*****

If Calla and Ren had gone through with the Union as planned, do you think Ren would take advantage of her? The Keepers obviously run a patriarchal system and he's been pressuring her for sex. Would Ren take advantage of or maybe even abuse Calla? Post your answer and explain why.

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood maybe, I dont think he'd actally abuse her as in hit her. but he might do it to her emostiones and how she feels about her slef as a persion. seeing as he did keep persering her for sex. so as far as emostionl abuse goes then yes i think he would, untill he got what he wanted from her.

Line I always thiougt, that it was his father pressuring him to be the ass he sometimes were...

We have to remember, he didn't have his mom, just the jerk of a father...

I thought there were many scenes between Ren and Calla, where he really showed her love, the best way he could manage...

Juliana I think that Ren is kind of "Abusive" beacuse he don't have his mum. I mean, his father is a totally Jerk, so what do you spect of that?

In the bottom of his heart I think he really care & loves Calla.

i agree to max level!!!!!

Taryn I actually wish that Ren was given more of a chance. I think Calla would have seen a whole different side to him that what he really showed. When he was kind to her and gentle, those were scenes I'd read over and over.

I liked to re-read all the scenes that really showed how cruel all the Keepers were.

Sidrah I like Ren so i hope not :/

I did the same! if I had to choose, I would choose Ren without doubt.

Makayla A H No, I don't think he would have hurt her. He may have been a jerk at times, but the bottom line is that he lover her. Therefore, I believe that he would have done anything to keep her out of dangers way.

Thanks Juliana!! I'm glad someone's also on Ren's side.

Lisa Love I loved Ren, yes he was an ass but these are wolves we are talking about they don't act the same way as humans. I was always on Ren's side and was gutted he wasn't giving a chance by Calla and for some reason I actually didn't like Shay all that much. I don't know why there was just something about him that annoyed me.

Taryn Sophia wrote: "No, he wouldn't have. Ren loved Calla - I don't think that he would have taken advantage of her."

I really don't think he would have taken advantage of her either. I think he was acting like a guy to be honest. Normal guy behavior when he's with a girl who he likes.

Hell no bit of a jerk sometimes but he still loves her soooo...

Elizabeth I'm reading book 3 and IO like Ren more than Shay. he's not a bad guy, I don't think he;d hurt her.

Nikki I have not read the book, but I think if you're asking if it's abusive it probably is.

Rachel (APCB Reviews) No he was just upset that she would never love him as he did her. He is an alpha so he sees everything as his possessions and is fiercely protective of them. He gets upset when Shay challenges Ren for Calla's love. When he does try to "break her" it is only because he is desperate and has been tortured and blindly believes the Keepers when they say everything will go back to normal if he can reel Calla back in. So no, he is not abusive; his feelings sometimes override his self-control.

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood /\ No that's still abusse, when he tryed to reel her back in and all that. At least seeing it from Calla's stand point it is. At least the way I'm see it, it is.

Keri I don't think he would have forced her into having sex with him. He is very attracted to Calla and as an alpha male feels the need to mate with her, but only if Calla agreed to do it. He cares very deeply for Calla and his pack and therefore I don't think he would rape her. He would have, however, kept pressuring her to the point where maybe she would have given in. She did feel attracted to Ren as well so who knows?

message 20: by Neha (new) - rated it 5 stars

Neha I haven't read all the comments though Ithink he wouldn't because I actually felt that he liked her since he respected her space once she told him that she wanted her distance and didn't do anything to Shay after that incident in Chem.

Heather In my opinion i believe it would of happened naturally or in one of their heated embraces. They seemed to have a connection, at least that's how it came across....

Pam Some one gave me the book Nightshade as a gift a while back. I read the end. It depressed me so bad i didn't read the next book. I know I should have but it funked me out.

It gets some much better as the books go on..........

Pam who is the author?

message 26: by Pam (new) - rated it 5 stars

Pam Thanks

Connie I don't believe Ren was abusive because there was no proof in the text that showed aggressiveness towards Calla.

message 29: by Pam (new) - rated it 5 stars

Pam I'm not saying anything lol..last time I said something in a thread I must have been in wrong thread..the lady came in and closed the thread. so my lips are sealed.

Jahnavi No, I don't think so because though it may seem like he is, all I think he's trying to do is show her his love and he just has a little different way of doing it then others, maybe because of his messed up life...

Mary-alice I think not! Ren is one of my fave characters and once you read all the books you realize how respectful he really is to Calla

message 32: by Fox (new) - rated it 5 stars

Fox D'aoust I think, no, I know that Ren loves Calla. His father is abusive towards him, but I think that if he had started his new life with Calla and away from his father I think they would have gotten along. I think Calla was slowly starting to see a different (caring) side of Ren when Shay came along. Shay blocked her from seeing the man that he was becoming.
He is an alpha, but don't forget she is too, she's tough and could hold her own. And if he tried anything that she wasn't ok with I think she would have ripped his ear off, literally.

Icarus He could be pushy and an ass but I wouldn't call him abusive

Lve2read i really liked ren, and don't think he's abusive, i mean he's the one that promised himself he wouldn't force calla to love him, but instead to win her love.
