Modern Good Reads discussion

We are all on the search for the best new books. It is easy to get distracted by the buzz of a big blockbuster book... Save us from making that mistake. :) what book or series is way over hyped on your opinion?

Hush hush. I picked it up and realized the opening literally copies Twilight. If you like creative fiction...avoid! It has angels instead of vampires. That is it.

I'm probably going to be hated for this but I thought was seriously overrated. It just wasn't for me at all and I felt so deflated at the end where everyone else thought it was awesome.

I actually agree strongly. Life of Pi did nothing for me either. It seemed too cute in some places and the spiritual message was a bit heavy for my taste.

I would say .
I didn't really like the first book. It was shocking for me to read this because the explicit scenes are DETAILED. I read thos because of curiosity.

The second and the third book are slightly better. But people still hate it. I guess it was an okay series for me.

I was really surprised to see that We Are Liars received the most votes on the Goodreads poll for best books of 2014.
