Hunger Games Trilogy discussion

Hey guys this is the arena! Time to test your characters skills. So the arena is a huge high ropes course. Also if you fall you fall into the pit of leaves on the bottom and get swallowed up. Here's a pic: So ya! I will post a list of the tributes and when they die will post a short description of their death. If you are inactive for more than 4 days I will kill your tribute... So in the middle of the course is the cornicopia inside is swords, bows and arrows, and knives. Each tribute starts with a backpack on there backs full of supplies, no weapons! Also there are trees and 5 tree houses through out the arena. Have fun!

Rin stared at his opponents, trying to think what he should take. it could be risky but he does have an alliance to rely on the other things he needs.
The gong sounds.
He makes a run for the swords, taking two just in case, he picks up few knives and climbs higher through the ropes, daring not to look down and see the others. The swords were heavy for him to carry around his waist. He makes a stop and breathes in and out, He looks down and finds Heric whom was following him from behind all along, he climbs higher and stops at the platform of wood on top of the ropes "Interesting arena, huh?" He asked Heric.

Heric looks at the ground, trying to listen to the wind around all of them. He was afraid of heights but he needs to conquer his fear to survive. The gong sounds.
He makes a run for the swords but sees Rin take two of them "Why two?" He asked himself. Nevertheless, he makes a run for the knives instead and got a bow with a few arrows, he follows Rin and climbs on top of the ropes not even trying to mention himself on how high it is he is up on the ropes.
He takes a stop at the platform of wood and takes a breathe with Rin "Interesting arena, huh?" Rin asked.
"Kind of different from what I'm used to." He answered, panting.

Both of them looked around the arena and noticed that they can't hide for long, the arena makes them exposed to other things. They have to move, Rin was sure that no one saw him but Heric wasn't. They quickly picked up their weapons and moved on, climbing the ropes but still trying to hide. Trying to find Ellyse and Marian, whom was part of their alliance while guarding each other's back.

Sophie froze for a moment, looking down at the ground before darting to the piles of weapons and supplies. She almost fell a few times, trying to maintain a steady grip on the ropes.

Scarlet carefully went through the corse, not trying to look down. Once she was out of the initial danger she looked around for any signs of her allies.

Ellyse looked around. Good thing she liked wires.

((Heric, Rin, and Marian, your my alliance. Oh and ellyse will couple with Marian))

“Damn,” Jason mumbled as he finally got a good view of the arena. He had planned on running as far away from the cornucopia and let all the alliances fight it out, but now seeing the arena, all he could do was gulp. There was no way he could really run, not when the entire arena was full of ropes. His eyes gazed down for a second, “I won’t fall.”

He took a step closer to the edge, and then looked back at the cornucopia. He rubbed his fingers together, letting them crack. He knew he should avoid the cornucopia, but with his plan A gone, he knew he needed weapons fast, and a plan B. God he should have come up with a plan B before hand.
He ran towards a rope bridge and jumped on it, letting his body bounce. Yipee! He thought as he slowly pulled himself towards the cornucopia. His eyes darted back and forth with each step, hoping no one came out of nowhere to try and kill him. Seeing an opening, Jason ran towards the cornucopia, grabbing a knife and a sword. Without a thought he slung the sword over his shoulder, and placed the dagger in a pocket.

His feet pushed off the wooden platform, sending his body towards a rope. Fingers clenched together as they met the rope, his legs swung to the side almost sending his body to the ground, but before he could lose his grip he tightened his grip, and as the rope tore at his skin he flung his legs around the rope, pulling them as close to his body as he could.

Jason looked back at the cornucopia as his feet pushed him upward. This wasn't going to be easy, he thought as he reached out and grabbed the edge of another wooden platform.

Rin and Heric went on climbing the ropes, the higher the better. They both looked down and looked at their opponents for the games, they were good they must admit but it is still not over yet.

((Whoops! Head's up. If this RP's going to last until May, I have to mention that I'll be on vacation for May 10, I'll be going elsewhere for a week but after that, I'll be active once again.))

Emica looked around a rope course?" she thought.

Lauren looked around and thought "Wow..." She darted to the cornucopia arming up with backpacks and knifes, and a bow and arrow. SHe then dashed off. As she ran on she quickly climbed.

Bryon immediately sprints for the cornucopia, knowing he will get there just fine. He wavers a little, losing his balance, but catches himself in time. He grabs a sword and a pack of knives, and runs toward Kylie, who had seemed so confident at first, and now stood frozen as battles raged all around her, eyes wide with fear. Byron immediately grabs her around the waist and throws her over his shoulder, and runs, never looking back.

Kylie was confident at first, but when the buzzer sounds, she freezes. She doesn't know where to go and what to do and all the training goes out the window. A boy starts coming at her with a knife, when Byron comes barreling by, knocking the boy off his feet, and sweeps Kylie off her feet, then runs into the woods. Kylie squeezes her eyes shut and clutches Byron's shoulder, utterly terrified.

Marian immediately runs away from the cornucopia, hoping that is where his alliance went. He starts climbing, slowly to keep his balance, and keeps his eyes peeled for Ellyse, Heric, or Rin.

Rin looks around the arena, it was fun to let loose for a while and to be free as long as you can have it. He looks around and sees Marian, just a few feet away from him, he then climbs towards Marian, quickening his pace as he moves closer, Heric follows Rin whom was smiling sheepishly.
Heric was glad to see one of his alliance, maybe they can get out of here alive after all.

Loucas glanced around the arena despairingly. It was ironic, really, he thought, that he came from the tree district of Panem, but that he was scared of heights, He swallowed, blinked and looked down. Vertigo washed over him, and he straightened up. Closing his eyes for a second, he took time to arrange his thoughts. He could hear screams and shouts all around him. He knew that being still was pointing him out as an easy target. He tried to move but couldn't, frozen with fear.
What's the point, he thought. It's not like I was ever gonna survive this in the first place, and if I can't move... He thought of Paddy, his little brother, watching him. If he died Paddy would be all alone. Better to go out strongly then, he thought. I'm sorry paddy.
He muttered under his breath, I'm sorry Paddy. I would try in any other case.
He squinted up at the sky. "I'm so, so sorry," he said, louder. He hoped he was being filmed. "Forgive me. Be brave. I love you." he swallowed. "I hope you understand." He glanced around at the chaos around him, amazed that he hadn't been killed yet. But it was only a matter of time. "I'm not leaving." he added. "I'm staying here, where you can see me." He noticed a tiny camera poking out of the log. He smiled. "I'll miss you Paddy. And I won't see you for a very long time." He drew back his collar, and pulled out the sparkling chain. "When I get home, Paddy: This is for you. Wear it for me, okay? Wear it for mum and dad." He could feel tears brimming in his eyes; not for him, but for the brother he would never get to know. "Live well, Paddy. Love well. I'll miss you. Good luck. I love you. It's time to say goodbye. And thankyou. For being the brother I always dreamed of." He swallowed, staring straight at the camera. "Don't follow me, Paddy. Not for a long, long time. Be brave. Goodbye." He blinked, turned away and looked over the edge of the platform. He couldn't commit suicide, not with Paddy watching. "I'm going to die now." he thought. "I'm going to see them all again." And he waited for the kill.

Andromeda glanced around the arena. Ropes, she thought. Perfect
The gong went off and she leapt into action, climbing up, higher and higher. She was good at this, she thought. She climbed until she was at the top of the course, looking down at the cornucopia below. She watched the tributes below, scurrying around like ants, pleased that no-one had noticed her. Then she notices figures pointing. Damn it she thinks. Then she has an idea. Ok. I've done this before she thinks to herself. For training. From much lower and I landed badly, but they're coming for me. I can do it. She notices a particularly thick cluster of ropes near the cornucopia. There . And she throws herself off the ropes ((tbc gtg))

Emica jumped from rope to rope with skill and balance.

There is a small earthquake people survive but Loucas falls off the edge. He lands on the leaves and crawls around for a moment. All of the sudden he falls through. There is a scream. A canon sounds.

Ellyse sees Ron and Heric and bounds towards them

Lauren quickly climbed and she reached higher ground. She keeps running and climbing when she trips. SHe falls off the ropes before catching herself. Her hands stinging.

Rin moves closer to a platform and waits until Heric, Ellyse and Marian move closer to him.
Once they were all on the platform, Heric speaks for all of them "Did someone bring any other weapons?"
Rin sat down, sweating "Yay. The whole alliance is here. It's like a family reunion." He chuckles.

Scarlet runs, looking for a familiar face. She wobbles a little on the ropes, now just trying to keep her balance.

Lauren sighs and she thinks " Wow I can't believe my mentor didn't get me a better alliance! " She climbed upwards.

"right... where we kill each other till one is left standing.. sounds like a real family renuion." Ellyse said sarcastically.

Marian nodded his agreement with Ellyse, somewhat in shock, taken aback by her beauty.

Scarlet looked around and felt relieved when she saw Kylie. She moved to her, trying not to fall in the process.

Jason pulled himself onto the platform. Crisscrossing his legs, he sat and looked down at the weapons he had taken. One sword and a knife. He knew the games worked fast, but people were already dying.

He shook his head, waking back up to reality. The other contestants seemed scattered across the arena from what he could see.
"I got to get as far away from every one as fast as I can," he said, picking up his weapons and moving toward another rope bridge.

"What now?" Heric asks, all confused-like..
"I think that we should hide first. Ellyse, Marian do you have any weapons?" Rin looked at both of them.

"nah not really. I'll get stuff later though." ellyse replied

Rin almost forgot that he actually had two swords with him.
"Here. Have this." He said as he passed Ellyse a sword "It was heavy to carry around my waist, so I hope it makes up for everything you forgot and also, thank me later once you kill someone with that."
Heric butts in "And by someone, he means someone outside our alliance."
Heric chuckled "Sorry. Just trying to be specific."

"Uh, no. I didn't think it was safe to go to the cornucopia" Marian somewhat sheepishly replied.

When they are far enough from everyone else, Byron puts down Kylie, and touching his forehead to hers whispers, "Are you okay?" Kylie, her body shuddering with sobs whispers, "No."

Rabid animals such as monkeys and squirrels appear and attack everyone. 2 people will die soon.

Lauren nodded and she follows quickly. SHe finds a sword and a cross bow.

Lauren winced but she set to work setting a trap that could stay on the ropes.

" Three already have..." Lauren says. " One fell off and... I saw it with my own eyes. It was not prettty" Lauren adds sadly.

Jason ran towards the nearest platform he could see, bouncing on the rope bridge along the way. Looking to the right and left, he could see monkeys were every where.
"Why'd it have to be monkeys. I like Monkeys," he sighed, monkeys were cool. He clenched the hilt of his sword and held his knife in the other hand.

" No...it is just sad. I could see the terror in his eyes." Lauren says. A ding goes off and her face brightens up. She looks down at her trap and she smiles. " Looks like we are having squriel and...something I caught for dinner tonight." she says.

"Wow...I never thought I would say that." Lauren said.

Bryon and Kylie find themselves surrounded by rabid creatures on all sides. Bryon grabs his knives and throws them all around, spearing all the animals in close range.

Marian looks around at all the rabid creatures. He is not worried, he connects well with animals, and almost as if realizing Marian's affection for animals, they all back away from him and his alliance.

All of a sudden Lauren ducks right as a monkey came flying towards her. She stifled a shriek and she quickly threw a dagger at it...perfect hit.

"Not sure" Lauren straightens up and says "Well we better get moving." SHe grabs the ropes and climbs up.

Lauren climbs her hand always on her knifes. SHe stays alert looking around.
