Okay, I am going to have to post my comments prior to this official start because I have to return my book in 2 days. The following post will cover chapters 1-5.

I am not sure about either Jude or Lucy at this point. I know that she has (view spoiler)[the hots for him but is playing hard to get, I guess. She is not 100% sure, but she's given in some already. (hide spoiler)] I couldn't believe the three jerks! The twins and Vince. OMG!

First, I fell in love with Rambo! I am an animal lover! I couldn't BELIEVE that the (view spoiler)[three thugs set him on fire AND Lucy, too! I was SO upset over all of that. (hide spoiler)] Lucy is either extremely gutsy or (more likely) VERY stupid!!! But I do like her character so far.

Ch. 6-8: Okay, I am falling in love with Jude now, and I don't think that Lucy is going to ever be able to say no to him. LOL

Her first day in the new high school and already everyone has (view spoiler)[labeled her a slut just for affiliating with Jude? WTH? I LOVED how he stood up for her, took over the principal's speech and let the entire school have it! (hide spoiler)] That side of him is a bit scary, but I think he is just a hurt little boy who (view spoiler)[misses his mommy. I mean, I don't think he ever really had her! He carries that letter in his pocket ALL the time?! (hide spoiler)]How touching is that and how vulnerable is he? That alone swayed me 100% over to his side!

MAJOR SPOILER COMING:Okay, I felt too alone in here to post but now that I have read that (view spoiler)[Sawyer is the baby's father (I predicted that!), he tried to rape Lucy, Jude's father murdered Lucy's brother, and I have NO ONE to talk with about it! (hide spoiler)]OMG I was 100% blindsided by that. I can't believe all of this is unfolding so quickly now. I have about 50 or so pages left. What now? LOL

I JUST finished it and I was totally blown away! I mean, I was blindsided by the revelation that (view spoiler)[Jude's father killed Lucy's brother! He was so sweet at the very end of the story when he told her he loved her, switched from grey to blue, and when Lucy asked how an 18 year old guy can promise forever he said, "Easy...He finds a girl like you."/spoiler>Okay, that was definitely a tender moment!

I was also impressed and fell in love with (view spoiler)[Lucy's father when they went to the graveyard and he confessed that he knew who Jude was all along, yet he encouraged her to continue with their relationship because he wisely knew that Jude's father is NOT Jude and vice versa. (hide spoiler)]Such wisdom with that conversation.

okay, I'm 5 chapters in and I'm really confused...

didn't they just meet?
why is she risking limb and life for him?

and he made her a dog house overnight?!

they knew each other <3 days and he builds her a dog house, they go to dinner with her (horrible! her mom is HORRIBLE!) parents AND she's threatened and then the next morning attacked??

this just all feels really....fast.

I agree with you. Parts of the plot were not credible, but for me the end made up for it. Lol

I found his temper was a bit over the top too, but I still enjoyed the book.

Ok i'm in the middle of chapter 15

First Sawyer (view spoiler)[ He is a Worm!!! Did you notice the capital "W"? Yes!! He is so slimy and gross! I checked Vicki's spoiler before I got to that spot in the story and saw a little of what is to come. But I thought he was a Worm before that. (hide spoiler)]

Jude does have a temper, (view spoiler)[ but I can tell how in love with Lucy her already is even though he hasn't admitted it yet. He is trying so hard to not let it get to him...at least so far. I did want to strangle him for stealing the car though! (hide spoiler)]

I like Lucy, sometimes she can't shut her mouth when she should, (view spoiler)[ and I hope that she doesn't run into the twins and Vince again. *shudder* But I think she's got a good head on her shoulders and I'm scared to know what happened to her brother. Whatever is I can see what made her mom turn into the ice queen and her dad check out. (hide spoiler)]

Alright I'm at chapter 9 and I just had to share this because I was so annoyed - the center would NEVER call out the hike in football! What the heck?? That's the QB's job to signal the play...

Exactly! That's such an obvious thing, so it just really threw me off! Wouldn't you double-check stuff like that if you're going to write about? Pretty sure that's like writing101 - check your facts! Lol

SPOILER!!! I don't have the book in my possession, so I can't look. I don't recall Sawyer or the other boys involved in the awful things they did get arrested or serve jail time. Sawyer is everyone's worst nightmare!!!
