Claire Handscombe (clairelyman) | 3 comments Has anyone ever used Rafflecopter in a giveaway?

What I really want to do is give everyone a prize draw entry of 5 if they buy my book. But there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this. I emailed them and asked them to explain it to me in an idiot-proof way but they basically couldn't be bothered.

Or is there another way of doing this? That everyone who buys your book from a certain site is automatically entered for a giveaway of some kind?

Kelly (Diva Booknerd) (divabooknerd) Hi Claire.
I use Rafflecopter quite often on my blog, you can see an example here http://divainpyjamas.blogspot.com.au/...

Have you worked with Rafflecopter before? It's basically set up by the person running the competition, you input the prizes on offer and quantities, dates and the likes, but then the entrant enters the raffle.

You could possibly set it up where the only way they can enter is after they've purchased your book, you send them the link to enter and they leave their email address connected to the purchase.

Not sure if I'm making any sense :(

You would have to keep track of who has bought your book though.

Claire Handscombe (clairelyman) | 3 comments Hey, thanks. In which case would you just have to trust each person that they'd really bought the book? Is there an automatic way of doing it?

Kelly (Diva Booknerd) (divabooknerd) Not automatically, I don't think so. But you can add an option to the actual Rafflecopter that they need to input the email address in which they used to purchase, or Kindle address. When you announce the winner, just double check that they did purchase the book. Probably the easiest way :)

Claire Handscombe (clairelyman) | 3 comments I think I figured out a way - I can also get then to forward me the confirmation from amazon... (To a special email address) - maybe...?

Angela (angelaroquet) I think some options are also only available with the purchasable version of rafflecopter. I've used the free version for a drawing once before, and I really liked it. :) You could always request a review, and they could provide a link to the review online or the name the review is posted under. It may not be a fail-safe way to ensure they purchased your book, but hey, reviews are nice too. ;)
