If you were dropped into a story, which would it be and why?

I would LOVE to spend a day in the 100 acre woods with Winnie the Pooh. :)

M.G. King (mgking) Great thread! I could spend a day in Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory, or riding under a hot air balloon in a giant peach with James.

C.E. Kilgore (cekilgore) I always liked the Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe books and the world of Narnia - So I'll go with Narnia.

I'm going to have to go with Harry Potter, but only if I could be a real wizard and go to Hogwarts. Being a muggle in that universe would be less than useless.

Peter Pan! It's one of my all-time favorite books from childhood and I will cherish it forever.

I was so completely enamored by the premise of flying, merely by believing I could, that I tried to fly from the top of a bookcase. The little scar just above my left eyebrow was a small price to pay for learning that some things are only make believe, even though we wish they were real.

Still and all, I credit J.M. Barrie for encouraging the little girl inside me to stay so alive and well and it's why I write books for children now.

Like Peter Pan in Neverland, I hope I never grow up.

Tina (tlpauthor) | 1 comments When I'm hungry, I'd like to be dropped into 'Willy Wonka'
When I'd like to be in a beautiful place with fresh air, 'Anne of Green Gables'

Kristin Jacques (krazydiamond) | 12 comments I probably put more thought into this than I should have. Every time I thought oh hey that would be an interesting world to visit, I realized most of the literary worlds I enjoy are really dangerous, whether I dropped in as myself or a "character". I think I could enjoy the realm of Tortall from Tamora Pierce's books. Even if I was my normal self in the world I can learn to sword fight :P

I know, but sometimes that danger is what makes it fun... oh to be one of Robin Hood's Merry Men for the day... :)

Ashley (AshleyLynn91) | 24 comments This is such a wonderful question because everytime I read a good book I picture myself in the book wishing I could live in their world. Therefore I have so many I would love but if I had to pick one it would probably have to be The Eternal Ones but only if I could live through Haven

Jackie | 15 comments I would have liked to be dropped into the world of Moonface, Silky and the Faraway Tree. The land of Do As You Please when it was at the top of the tree always appealed to me lol
