And I'll say here what I said there. WIld horses could not drag me back to AOL.

Has anyone heard from Lorraine? Did she go over to that other board instead?

AOL is unbelievable.
When there had been posts and emails passed around prior to the April 1st cut-off indicating that AOL was beta testing board formats, I thought it odd they would be doing that just days prior to reducing the offerings to rubble. Now it seems perhaps they ran into difficulties with their format change and "lost" the boards for a while. Too bad they couldn't tell us what was going on. I am not interested in going back.

As for Lorraine, she is over on the other board with Dave. I joined over there also although I have not posted much. Lorraine sent me a message, and she seems happy there. I did give her the information for goodreads. Has anyone sent her an e-mail?

I agree, Ann. It's unbelievable that they couldn't send out a mass email or put something on the People Connection board to which we all found ourselves redirected several million times. This board is full of longtime loyal AOL customers and the mistreatment was unbelievable. I'm happy here and done with AOL message boards.
When we were using the Yahoo board during the chaos, I noticed that board was founded in 2002. I remember that Snap created it when the first rumblings came down about AOL closing its boards. For seven years we posted in anxiety and doubt about the continued availability of our board. That's no way to treat customers.

I also truly love the job that Cheryl and Carol are doing and have done to make this group work. Thank you both!

I e-mailed her last week. She was going to be out of town over the weekend but said she'd check out Goodreads when she got back. Hope she makes it here. Dan/AZ

We make a good team, don't we! Salt and pepper, sweet and sour--well maybe I don't want to go too far down this road lest I invite those who have little self control (you know who you are) to offer their own analogies...

Yep, attended a motorcycle rally this past weekend. Friday, was a chili cookoff. It sure looked like it would rain, when it did we weren't on the bike.Saturday, went on an observation ride, had to find landmarks during the 83 mile ride. Then off bike games:3 legged race, balloon toss etc. On bike games: slow race(two bikes ride side by side as slow as they can without putting their foot down)Then the bike show: Hubby won two trophies, 1st place HD full dresser and best of all touring catagories. So he's strutting his stuff. LOL Sunday, we rode home.

Sherry, I could see it at home, but now that I'm at work I can't.
But when you see Carol, just watch her eyes when she's playing the slots. You'll see an exact replica of Cheryl's smiley face.
