Choose one of the following:

1.) Describe a difficult choice your character had to make.

2.) What is your character’s view on life?

For a “4”: Did I….
• Write a topic sentence that provided the title, author, and genre of my text?
• Provide context of what is happening in the text, so my reader understands what I’m talking about?
• Find a direct quote from the text that proves my idea?
• Thoroughly explain the significance of my quote/how it proves my idea?
• Check for correct punctuation and spelling?

Ivan (ivanski711) | 30 comments In the book The Demond King by Cindia Cilliams Chima my main character Hen had to make the difficult choice of hunting for game in the unspokin lands. The unspokin lands is the home of many dangerous wizard guilds. Hen has always been told to stay away from those who contain magic inside of them. His friend Decter incuraged Hen to come along. just as they began to dasend the hill a wid fire had apeared, which is normal but not in the time of the book. " What is a wild fire doing here at this time of year? There not due untill summer." This quote from the book show that there is something wiered hapining and there in the unspokin lands and is also forshadowing what will happen later on in the book.

Ben Friedman | 25 comments In the book “The Outsiders” by S.E Hinton my charter Darrel (Darry) has had to sacraifce a lot to be in the position he is in. When the kids parents passed away Darry took on the father role of the ouse and started rasing Pony and Soda. This was a big dession because Darry had to give up a collage football scholarship to rasie his brothers. This shows he gave up a lot because he left behind something that could have turned into a life long ucsess for himself.

Kimora Irby | 25 comments In the book "Babe In Boyland" By Jody Gehrman My character Natalie had to make a huge decision at the end of the book. Because she disgusted herself as a boy so should could get research done on a school article that she was writing about love advice on boys. At the end the guy she was really liked was at the same party as her, and she finally had to confess that she was really girl because she felt like he had the right to know because they became so much closer to each other and she kept fighting by going back and forth, if she should tell him.

Jack Brill | 41 comments In the book "Always Running" by Louis J. Rodriguez the main character's view on his life is regretful. For example the main character has made many mistakes in his life and has taken the road of doing drugs and alcohol and joined a gang. However he has realized that those were terrible decisions and he has quit the gang and stopped doing drugs and alcohol. And that made his view on life very special and now realizes how many opportunities he had and has to be successful and to do something for people in a positive way and not a negative way.

Monica | 43 comments The second fantasy book to the Trylle trilogy is Torn, by Amanda Hockings. It is one of the most emotional read I have ever experienced through. I have recalled myself crying over many excerpts in the text and I have connected myself to the protagonist in many ways. The protagonist, Wendy, is a changeling which means that she was swapped at birth with another child. Instead of being in the human world like before, she actually is from a really powerful place called Forening. Her mother is the queen of this place but her father is from the enemy city, Vittra. From these past few days, she has been viewed as the forecoming queen since her mother is almost going to die. Therefore, she has to make really tough decisions, such as sacrificing her true love in order to control the whole city of forening. In the text, Finn, her used-to-be bodyguard and her boyfriend said to her,"You know why I can't, Wendy....Now you know who you are and what you mean for the kingdom. I can't fight for something that isn't mine. Especially not when you mean so much to our people."(249). This shows that her past boyfriend really wants Wendy to forget about their relationship and use it to revive the people of Forening. This was a really tough decision to make for Wendy since she didn't want to leave Finn, neither want him to forget about her and move on. She just really wants to go back to things the way they were before. Finn made a tough decision too because he was the one whom also caused their relationship to happen.

Elva C. | 40 comments In the book "Drama" by Raina Telgemeier, one of the characters, Jesse had to make a decision that was pretty tough. The part of the book that I am reading is when Jesse and Callie are casting a play together, and Jesse wants to try out. However, Jesse is afraid because he doesn't want be judged by the other students. Jesse even states, "All this auditioning stuff is just too much for me. I don't like being judged" (78). This quote shows that Jesse wants to go audition for the play, but he wouldn't want people to judge him if he was good or not. He would have to choose either if he wants to do what he wants, or think too much about what might happen and not able to do what he want, so that he would be happy.

Matthew | 34 comments In the book The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan one of the main character piper has to make the choice to save her friends and let her father die or the other way around. Piper has been trying to make her mind through the whole book but thinks both sides are unfair to her father and friends. Piper says " I don't want my friends to die or my dad to die, I have no idea what to do." This shows that Piper is confused on what to do because she wants to save both her friends and her dad.

Mark | 33 comments In my book The Necromancer by Michael Scott one of the main characters Josh had to make a very difficult choice. His difficult choice that he had to make was that he had the option of staying with Nicholas Flamel or going with Dr. John Dee. He couldn’t decide whether he should stay with Nicholas because Nicholas has lied to him many times and he had taken away his trust as well, but he also couldn’t decide if he should go with Dee because he is portrayed as a bad guy and he wants to take over the world. A quote from the book.”Guys we lost Josh we can’t find him anywhere if Dee gets him then our hope is gone so go find him.” This quote shows that both people want Dee for their own purposes and Josh can’t decide which one to side with because both are very convincing.

Her friends mickey and nellie always get on her case about not being able to hang out with them or go to parties with them anymore. Jayd also has to choose between Jeremy , Rah , and KJ. She is best friends with Rah but Rah likes Jayd. Jeremy is like Jays Boy toy if you read between the lines but KJ is her ex boyfriend who she still likes. She is a love machine. Kind of. Kay
