Changed my mind...sign me up for 3! I am excited about my new shelf!!!
Please pick from my POTS shelf.
Please pick from my POTS shelf.

I managed to finish my third book just yesterday - a day late but I did finish it so I think I'm in for another 3 books from my own-to-read shelf
Don't forget to provide link of your nominated shelves
Awesome theme, Bea & Amy, love it! :)

I am tentatively in for 1 book, but I will wait to see where I am needed to round out teams.
AND - to echo Tien, Don't forget to list the link for the shelf that you want the books chosen off of.
My shelf is to-read-mine

Oh, Susan, I liked the idea of a special shelf for POTS!
So, eveyone, I have created my own POTS shelf and edited my signup to allow picking from that shelf.
I picked books from other challenges and my LOST list that I want to read and ended up with 21 for y'all to chose from. I am so excited!
EDIT: Lyn, I increased my number of books too!

Remember all, there is a theme this cycle. My only thought is that if you are making up special lists, you need to make sure that there are books on the list that fit the theme. We will probably have teams of 4, and the original thought is that each of your team members has to nominate at least one book that fits the theme. That would mean that there needs to be at least three books that fit the theme on the list.
The other option is to have just one person in the group pick a theme book for you, in which case you would only need one book to fit the theme on your list. But I was afraid that would get to complicated?

Headed back to my list to check. I know there is at least one...but, now I see they need to pick different books...(I had thought they each could pick the one plus 5 others, since I am reading 3 now).

No worries. My shelf has all my LOST and Mt. TBR books in it, so 112 books. Author's initials from the 9 specified letters shouldn't be hard to find.
And -- to be clear about the rules -- each chooser needs to include one from the theme, but readers are not limited as to whether the book(s) they read include any of those theme-related books. Right?

Exactly right, Susan.

I see how you thought that, Bea. Since everyone will be picking for everyone else, and there will be teams of 4 this time, so if you want to read 3, the other three people would each pick 1 theme and 3 others for you. That would give you a total of 12 books to choose from. Does that make sense?
I mainly changed it because I didn't want the lists to get too unwieldy for those of your reading a large number of books.
For those of us picking 1 book, we would still get 6 choices.

Nope. Now I am more confused. In the rules, it says "The number of books you will pick for your team member will be equal to the number specified to read + X, with X being the number of books you've nominated to read. For example, if you choose to read 1 book, you would get 2 referrals, 2 books - 4 referrals, etc."
That makes me think that each team member will pick 6 books for me (3 [# chosen to read]+3). Since I am one of the four on the team, and I am not picking for myself, wouldn't I have 3 team members picking 6 books each for me or 18 total? And, must they all be different books? I thought the books would range from 6 distinct books (every one chose the same 6 books) to 18 distinct books (everyone chose different 6 books) and anything in between. NO? Good thing this does not start next week. I need time to figure out the new multiples!

Ahh, I see where the confusion is. I put the changes for Cycle #2 in bold at the top instead of incorporating them in the rules. My bad. Sorry. I will go fix that. Any way, the new rule is:
-Each person on the team will pick for ALL of their other team members.
-The number of books you pick for each member is equal to the number they have elected to read +1.
And they do have to be distinct book (I hadn't made that clear, so will update the rules with that, too), so if someone has already picked a book from your list, it cannot be picked again for his cycle. So you would have 12 distinct books chosen, of which you need to read three.

OK...I'm getting there, Lyn. 4 books picked by my three team members = 12 to choose from. "By George, I think she's got it!" Some days my brain just goes into "DUH" mode. LOL

My fault, Bea. I should have redone the rules better. Sorry it was so confusing. It was one of those things that seemed right at the time, you know, but then when I went back and looked at it, I was asking myself why I would EVER leave the original rules there. Talk about DUH moments. :P
But you do have it now!

So...now I wait until my team is determined...and then I wait for the members to pick the books for me...and then I wait until the day to start reading....Wow! Running for my current books to read so I don't focus on WAITING.

Not sure exactly what time Lyn's closing the sign up, though?

TIME ZONE NOTE: Since technically this group is "located" in Australia, for purposes of reading, the 15th shall be determined 8:00 am on the 15th in Sydney, Australia.
I figured it also applied to the sign ups. :)

Sorry All, I was sick yesterday and TOTALLY spaced this out. I am working on putting up the teams right now.
MY BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!
MY BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!
*****Drum roll, please******
The teams are up in the second post. Again....I apologize everyone. I have been sick for a few days and although feeling better today, totally forgot about this. Next time I am going to book myself an appointment with a reminder.
Just a note - I put one person who signed up for 2 books in the one book team to even things out. So for those of us on the one books team...Don't forget to pick three books for Donna instead of just two.

I have posted the changes to the rules in the Rules of the Game thread.
Theme for Cycle #2 (at least one book picked for each member of your team has to meet this theme):
Since it is SPRINGTIME please pick a book where the letters of the author's initials can be found in the word SPRINGTIME.
Thanks Bea and Amy for the theme.
