Mainly the Facebook link appears to feed your book updates to your Facebook pages. It also confuses things a bit as I found out when I signed up for Goodreads through Facebook initially. Facebook gives you a temporary password to Goodreads that allows you to access Goodreads directly from Facebook, but not fully engage in Goodreads until you go to your GR profile and change the password, at which point you can see your Goodreads In Box and log on separately.

So, what is it that you can actually see through your Facebook/Goodreads logon? Your own book lists? Friends book lists?

I am heading over to find out. To answer your question, Yes. I have a Goodreads tab on my Facebook profile page with links to Goodreads Home, My Books, Friends and Trivia. The initial view shows my bookshelves and my recent status updates. It is kind of a "mini Goodreads" inside Facebook.
