Anna (aknas22) | 30 comments So far I have to say its been a slow reading year. I'm getting stuck on certain authors and am not able to dredge up much enthusiasm for many other authors. This reading funk wasn't there in January, plenty of books coming out by old favorites...though the enthusiasm over the Carrie Vaughn and Casey Daniels books are fairly recent.

This list is complete (or will be complete) though I didn't include anthologies in this list because I didn't read all the stories in them, just those by the authors I have previously read.

I also don't plan on including those books that I've reread...there will be a few of those.

Anna (aknas22) | 30 comments Ok, so while February and March were a little thin on the reading front, April has made up for it... thanks to Jim Butcher.

message 7: by Connie (new)

Connie I love finding a new author and wanting to gobble up everything they've written. I think I have one of the Jim Butcher books on by to-read list and know I have a Kim Harrison waiting to read. Now I'm more motivated to get those started!

Anna (aknas22) | 30 comments ConnieK, I know what you mean about wanting to read everything from an author, as you can tell. Now that I read all the Dresden Files books that are out, I'm sort of at a loss...oh well, I'll find something new tomorrow. The Dresden Files is a highly entertaining and interesting series that is the first person perspective of a male wizard. Because it was told by a man it was very different for me to read. If you like urban fantasy and mysteries, I'm sure you will enjoy this series.

Anna (aknas22) | 30 comments So I've been busy with the whole end of the college semester thing and haven't had much time to read. I've also hit another reading slump, that's why I read so few books in May. But things are looking up for June, especially since so many of my favorite authors have/will come out new books...Janet Evanovich and Laurell K. Hamilton.

message 12: by Anna (new)

Anna (aknas22) | 30 comments So its summer, and since classes are over you'd think I'd have a lot more time and inclination to read. This hasn't been the case so far. I'm taking two online history classes that take up a lot of time (turned out I'm 6 units short on my BA) and I'm working full time. This just doesn't leave a lot of time for me to read.

Tiffany I have read a few of the Tara Janzen books, only from the Crazy series. Have you read those? And how would you say they compare to the Loose series? I'd be interested in getting your thoughts!

1612470 I love the Crazy series. I see the Crazy and the Loose series as being one series but having two parts. The Crazy series tells the story of the original Steele Street gang with Dylan Hart and Hawkins and Creed and most of the rest of the guys who used to steal cars together. The Loose series is still about SDF, who operates out of the Steele Street garage but is about newer characters.

One major reason I think that the two series should be read and thought of as one is that JT Chronopolos is killed in one of the Crazy books, right? His story is brought up in the Loose books, especially in Breaking Loose.

Tiffany, if you really like the Crazy books I think that you will like the Loose books.

message 21: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany thanks! I will look into them as I make progress with some of my books! I have 100+ on my "to read" so it'll be a while, but I will have to add them!

Anna (aknas22) | 30 comments It's November 4th and I've reached 100 books. I'm a little surprised. I had some very slim reading months this year.

Anna (aknas22) | 30 comments I'm not going to add these books to my list because I skipped through them...but last weekend I did read some of each book of the Twilight Saga. I read them because after watching the Twilight and New Moon movies I was curious about Jacob and the werewolves and I also like Alice and most of the rest of the Cullens.

message 29: by Anna (new)

Anna (aknas22) | 30 comments I just finished Touch the Dark by Karen Chance but I'm not going to count it for my list since I've already read it. I read it for another group and also in anticipation for the release of Death's Mistress...can't wait!!
