Ending - Like/Hate
Yeah I hated what happened to poor Katy but it was an exciting end. Her being stuck there an Daemon yelling that he loves her. I know he will get her out.

The book's (Opal) Ending, is so thrilling and heartbreaking. I mean, watching your one and only be taken away by some 'odd-bastards-who-wants-power-and-stuffs'? But knowing Daemon? He will surely save her, out.
It's a pretty complex feeling, honestly, because obviously I hated the ending. I've never experienced a bigger cliffhanger, and the ending was so unbelievably sad with Daemon's too-late love confession. But at the same time, it was ingenius! What a perfect cliffhanger, and in that sense I really really loved it!
The ending is so gut wrenching! I reread it yesterday and felt horrible all over again. I agree, it is the perfect cliff hanger, anyone who reads the series after Origin comes out will be spoiled because they did not have to wait like we did.
OMG the end of this book broke my heart! And in a really good way. Daemon finally admitted he loved her even though it was sort of obvious since the series started. And the way he just broke down in agony. The part when he whispered... NO pleaded! "Kat" or even the part he almost killed himself...... ! Gosh I just fell in love with him all over again! I just hope that in Origin we'll get to read his POV and the way he'll feel because it'll just suck to read about Kats torcher for most of the book. Ohhhhhh I'm soooo excited! >.<
The ending was so heart breaking and depressing. :( I can't find myself to smile whenever I remember that they were separated. Damn Blake.
I feel betrayed by Blake!! How can he do such thing?!? I though he was being genuinely nice but... URG! Just WHY??

LOVED this book!!
Loved the ending, though my heart is broken for Daemon. I have to agree I really hope it's in his Daemond. August can't come soon enough

HATED THE ENDING...
BUT I LOVED IT AS WELL!
Ughh.. I guess I just hated the way it turned out, but I loved the fact that this author is a FREAKIN' GENIUS!

OMG the end was horrible and amazing! of course I don't want her to be trapped with Daedalus but it was an amazing cliff hanger! cant wait for origin! and im excited to see how daemon handles this turn in events. gonna b interesting reading from his POV. plus we are gonna get some insight on Daedalus and wat really happens in mt weather
This has to do with the ending but not about what happened with kat, I was thinking a bit about the part with Blake...there's something shady going on with his friend chris. I kept thinking it was weird that he punched him when he was taking him and was like "He didnt remember me", Beth had been there for ages and she still remembered Dawson. The thing is here, I dont think Chris and Blake are friends, Chris doesnt know Blake at all and Blake was kidnapping him to bring him to someone (maybe) and the Arum were in on it somehow??
I'm going back to the part where Beth wanted to say something when she saw Chris with Blake but nobody noticed....

The ending to opal shocked me to where I couldn't even close the book for abit. I even re read to make sure what I read was real. I kept reading the reviews and thought that something with daemon was going to happen... Not poor katy :( She's...oh my gosh my stomach is in knots for her. They are gonna torture her to death v.v I am so scared for the next book!
BLAKE!!! FUDGE YOU, YOU BIG MEANIE!
I knew from the beginning he was a monster!
ugh! why!

I actually enjoyed the cliffhanger... but I hated it too. Mostly I am just dreading the next book because I know we will probably spend half of it, possibly more, with them separated. Which always leads to doubts... so I am not so stoked about how long its going to take to restore their relationship and get Katy out.
