This is a folder where we can discuss general issues that affect science and math. Not specific science topics like the multiverse or the Higgs-Bosun, but issues in other realms like the social and political realms that specifically impact how and whether science gets done.

Feel free to post your opinions, or links to articles or books on the subject. But if you're posting a link, please give us a little explanation of why it's worth following.

Please start a new thread for each distinct topic.
