How did you feel about Lawrence?

Booooo Boooo Lawrence. He uses both his participation in events and his abstaining from participation to further his own ends, rather than thinking of Sarah or his wife. But he is just so darn biege that it's hard to pin him down as ever doing anyhting bad. I suppose he redeems himself a bit at the end. I can't help but think he is only cleaning up a mess that he made though, which I'm not sure makes him deserving of any praise.

Magdalena Vinson | 11 comments I found that by the end I didn't really feel anything about Lawrence. For me, he didn't really have any defining characteristics or even much of a persona...I think beige is a great way to describe him. He really just felt like a plot device, although I've also known people who were fairly similar to him in their actions and thoughts, so I guess that makes him a realistic plot device? He was necessary for the story, but I never really cared what happened to him, although I did want to whack him or give him a good shake a couple of times.
