In Christopher Paul Curtis's realistic fiction novel, The Watsons Go To Birmingham - 1963, the protagonist, Byron Watson, is a dynamic character for several reasons. One reason is because his mood changed in the beginning to almost the end of the book from making a decision whether to stay in Flint, Michigan, or move to Birmingham, Alabama, to live with his Grandma Sands and have better education, as well as better jobs for his parents. In the beginning, after Byron decided to move to Birmingham to live with his Grandma, he was very irritable and regretted making this decision because he loved Michigan and missed his school, friends, and his neighborhood. Later on, in the middle and on to the end, Byron got to know much more about life in Birmingham and he loved this new place because even with severe weather and storms in this area, Byron had better education with more subjects to learn and his parents suddenly became from poor to middle class wealth. Another reason is Byron's trait from beginning to end. In the beginning, Byron was quiet and always shy in school and in public. He stayed away from strangers who walk on his block. He never stand up for himself when random students decide to make fun of him whenever he made an accident that made him look silly. To the middle and end, Byron became more gallant and even had a girlfriend himself, as well as improving his confidence to standing up to other people when they made fun of him. Therefore, this shows why Byron Watson is a dynamic character.
In Sharon M. Draper's realistic fiction book Gerald seems to be more like a dynamic character. When Gerald loving aunt had passed away, he life had suddenly change from a sweet and caring life to a life full of anger and abuse, his brutal stepfather was one of the worst of when his life changed. His stepfather has a flaming temper and an evil secret that makes Gerald even more miserable than he was before, and the only thing in his life that could actually cheer him up was his little young stepsister Angel.

In Laurie Halse Anderson's realistic fiction Speak my protagonist Melinda is a dynamic character because in this story Melinda changes throughout the book. She was happy before everything had change until Andy Evans raped her, then she became depressed. She started to pick up the pieces at the end of the book, to bring her life back to normal. For example, when Melinda was at Rachel's summer party Andy raped her and her life was happy and enjoying but now she was scared and turn into a depress mood. This shows that it was all of Andy Evans fault for raping her because Melinda had nothing to do with this situation at Rachel's party and taking a drink that you have no idea if it can poisonous. Another example, Melinda realized that Rachel should had trusted her in the first place instead of being with Andy Evans ( Rachel's boyfriend). This shows that if Rachel never changed after her summer party situation she won't have gone with a guy who had hurt her ex-best friend. Therefore, this shows why Melinda is a dynamic character.
In Eoin Colfer's realistic fiction novel Artemis Fowl the Artic Incident the protagonist Artemis is a dynamic character. Artemis is a tewelve year old genius who has been forced to turn into a evil genius. In the beging Artemis was evil he wanted every thing to himself, he captured hardcore elf fariy's and took there power and used the power against them. Then in the middle of the book Artemis was forced to team up with his old foe the captin of the elf fairy team captin Holly Short. "This is not fair the only way to save it artic polar is to team up with her." This quote shows that during the middle of the book Artemis finally turns good he know uses his smarts and power for good. Therefore this shows how Artemis Fowl is a dynamic character.
In the book The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants, there is no specific protagonist in the book. Each character has a few pages of their life time at the moment and they take turns. Right now in the book though, the characters are static characters. They still haven't changed the way they thought I about things and still really miss all their friends. They use the travelling pants to communicate and are always writing letters to each other saying how much they miss each other but I think after they stay longer at where they are during the summer aways from each other, they will learn to be able to live without them. They will still miss each other but they won't be too devestated to not see them. Therefore, the characters in the book are static characters so far.
My character, Mark Owens, is a static character. In my book Mark and his crew just infiltrated Osama Bin Laden’s compound. They just killed Osama. They have been waiting and they got the order. Mark did not change throughout the text. For example he didn’t change his point of view towards anything. This was one of the ways a character changes: the character changes his point of view or place in the world. Mark did not change his point of view. He kept the view of helping others and doing what is right. he wanted to be the light in the darkness. Another example is he did not change is way to handle a tough situation. This is shown when he didn’t change anything. Whenever he was given a challenge, he kept it inside his mind and didn’t let anyone is his emotions. He was like Dally, keeping people out and he will never get hurt. This is what Mark did. He isolated himself from his crew. Therefore Mark Owens was not a dynamic character but a static character.
In the realistic ficton book,Chinese Handcuffs Dillon is a dynamic character. Dillon changes throughout the book. Dillon came back from training and when he sat down with his partner they talked."Dillon, I see you improve everyday and you changed so much ever since the beginning," This shows that he keeps trying every single day and he is always improving.
