Emmi (lethania) | 41 comments I'm a bit OCD when it comes to reading series in the right order, which is usually the order they were published. How much of her previous books show up in Shadows's Claim? Is it set after her IAD series timeline wise? Or is The Dracains very stand alone in the sense it has nothing to do with the other books. I would hate to miss out on things but there are like 12 books before Shadow's Claim to be read.

From what I read on her website its the first in a spin-off series that takes place after IAD #12. It sounded to me that it takes place in the background of the same universe and it's more tangentially related than anything.

I haven't read any of her books though so I'm not entirely sure.

Nita (gillnit) I've read the entire IAD series, and as far as I can remember, we meet the Dracians in Lothaire. They might have been mentioned in the previous books, but we don't actually see one until Lothaire's book. The stories in each book of this series are pretty much happening at the same time, but with different couples, so I don't think it's very necessary to start from the beginning and read them all to understand Shadow's Claim.

Maebhe | 2 comments Im just glad that they are finally highlighting Kresley Cole because I have been reading her books for years and it really annoyed me when they gave her a lot of bad press just because the start of her first book isn't great, which I can agree with
but it resulted I a blog post on her series as an overview for people wanting to get into her series:

Id love it if yous would maybe check it out & tell me what yous thought :) I tried to be as unbiased as possible
