I really enjoyed that trilogy, so much so that I plan to listen to the audio version of it with my husband down the road. Hope you like it too!

message 11: by Karen (new)

Karen (karenofthebookworm) I've read my first book, The Knife of Never Letting Go. Loved it.

message 12: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2241 comments Finished my first book, Last to Die, which was a good addition to the Rizzoli and Isles series.

message 13: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1223 comments That's good to know, Amy. I've been putting off reading it because the last couple of installments have been meh.

message 14: by Karen (new)

Karen (karenofthebookworm) Finished my second book, The Secret Life of Bletchley Park: The WWII Codebreaking Centre and the Men and Women Who Worked There. This was a really good, interesting read.

message 15: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1223 comments Finished my first book:

Marked (Eternal Guardians, #1) by Elisabeth Naughton by Elisabeth Naughton. 3 stars - Not a bad beginning to the series although it does suffer from first book syndrome with the focus on the world building which is based on the myth of Jason and the Argonauts in Greek Mythology.

message 16: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2241 comments Finished my second book, Every Dead Thing and gave it 3 stars. Gory murder mystery that dragged a bit but wasn't too bad.

message 17: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 2695 comments I have both my books in progress right now - I bounced between several of the recommendations

message 18: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 2695 comments yay, I finally finished a book - The Bone Garden - I really liked this, she did a good job of meshing the past/present into the mystery...I would actually love to see more books with the characters from the past

message 19: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1223 comments Glad you enjoyed The Bone Garden, Dee. It was original even for Gerritsen.

message 20: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 2695 comments and finished up book 2 - Something About You - it had been loitering on Mt TBR for wayyy too long...it was cute...I had read the second one in the series and was a tad lost because it referenced stuff that occurred in this one, so I feel better now

message 21: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1223 comments I enjoyed the first two books in Julie James's series but not the last two. She changed the tone from romantic suspense (which I prefer) to straight contemporary and I ended up getting bored.

message 22: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 2695 comments ahhh, so i found it more contemp that RS anyway...I like, but don't love her

message 23: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1223 comments Starting Twisted (FBI #1) by Andrea Kane for my second book.

message 24: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1223 comments I'm halfway through my second book. I ended up reading Ransom (Highlands' Lairds, #2) by Julie Garwood - Garwood's writing style is very engaging.

message 25: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 2695 comments I love Garwood - I cut my romance teeth on her and laVyrle spencer

message 26: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1223 comments Finished Ransom (Highlands' Lairds, #2) by Julie Garwood - a solid sequel. I love a sexy, grumpy highlander who falls hard and fast.
